2 dresses or one

CountryBride, on September 30, 2021 at 4:00 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

So here is the dilemma I have 2 beautiful incredible dresses that are very similar but have an entirely different silhouette, Ballgown for the ceremony, and a fit and flare for the Reception dress. The ball gown makes me feel like a bride and it's poofy, and I love the details The reception gown makes me feel beautiful, sexy, confident. Now My plan was to wear both, but now After listening to a few members of my family I feel like having 2 dresses may be too much, or I am being too extra, I feel like if I were to go with just the reception dress I would be" underwhelmed" and be like oh that's it, hence why I got the ceremony dress. I will only be wearing the veil with the ball gown

Ignore your family and be as extra as you want to be with your two looks. You are a hard working mom who dedicates all her time to her kiddos. You deserve to feel beautiful on your wedding day.

Do what you want and they can do their thing when it’s their turn. Though you do look much happier in the fitted dress so I would stick with that one.

Have two - why not? Smiley smile Don't listen to what the other people have said - just go with what makes you happy and will make you happiest on the day. Smiley smile

Have 2! It's your wedding. I assume you're (or FH) are paying for both dresses. None of their business to try to bring you down. You look amazing!!

I'm really not seeing any reason you shouldn't wear the two. Unless you were torn about wanting to take one off due to the time and/or how much you love the first one, of course! You look stunning in both and it would be a shame to waste them!

It's definitely not too much, if you want 2 dresses then have 2 dresses! It's your wedding, not your family members.
