2 entree buffet

Cheyenne, on March 3, 2019 at 3:03 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 6
Hi
When you are doing a 2 entree buffet for a wedding, do you need your guest to let you know what food options they want or is a 2 entree buffet where they just decide what they want when they are getting there food at the wedding?

A buffet they would decide the night of when they’re in the food line. For a plated meal that a server brings out they would pick a meal choice on the RSVP card.

For our two entree buffet, all we need to do is tell the caterer a number of final RSVPs and they will calculate how much of each to make.

My venue will have two proteins for each plate so i am not including that on our invitations or rsvp cards. Just asking for dietary restrictions for anybody who may be vegetarian or vegan, as well as gluten free and any allergies. If its like that you should be fone, but if it is plated i would include the protein options on the rsvp cards so you will know and can provide that to your venue or caterer.

Usually when a buffet offers two proteins, people take both. I've seen a menu at the buffet but never in advance.

We had a 2 protein buffet and we did ask in advance if they preferred beef or salmon. Just to give the caterer a better idea of what to make. Some people did get both the night of, and that was totally fine.
