2 pregnant bridesmaids!!!

Ameselle, on November 28, 2014 at 4:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

I'll be getting married October 10, 2015. 2 of my 4 bridesmaids just told me (within the last week) that they are pregnant! I'm BEYOND excited for both of them, plus it means I'm going to be an aunt (by marriage). They're due in June and July - that's 3 & 4 months before my wedding. Have any of you had experience with pregnant bridesmaids? Stories, please!!!

Thanks!

3&4 months is nothing to worry about. My SIL delivered in July, I got married in September. It was NBD.

MY MOH was due 18 days after the wedding, delievered 5 days before, and didn't attend the wedding at all.

I'll have a 7 months pregnant bridesmaid and a potentially just pregnant (trying about a month before my wedding). We're planning a spa day bachelorette party to accommodate.

That's great news! I may have a few by the time the wedding comes around too. Someone posted a somewhat volatile rant about a pregnant BM the other day. I'll sum it up in these points:

-Your BM will want to talk about her baby more than your wedding. Baby > Wedding

-They may not be able to participate in all events due to the pregnancy or not wanting to leave their newborn.

Not trying to dredge up that post but you asked for stories... haha

One of my bridesmaids is due in February and my wedding is in June, I guess my biggest issue is how do we do her dress fitting?

FSIL was 7 months pregnant for FBIL's wedding a few years ago. She found out she was pregnant after we ordered or BM dresses. Luckily our dresses had a style that accommodated room for her to grow.

One of my bridesmaids was 6 months pregnant. I chose an empire-waisted dress that could be let out easily. No biggie!

My FSIL has 5 month pregnant bridesmaid... So she let her choose the dress whatever she's comfortable in.

Dessy has these twist wrap dresses that can fit 6-10 or 12-16

My wedding is 8/8/15 and one of my bridesmaids just had her baby. I have another that is pregnant with twins due in February, and another just announced her pregnancy 2 weeks ago, and she's due in May. Their dress fittings may be a challenge but since I'm letting them all choose their own styles I'm sure it will work out. My concern is that my wedding and reception is adult only. I'm hoping they will be okay with pumping if they are breastfeeding. If one of them needed to back out because of it I'd be sad, but completely understanding.

My sister (also my MOH) is due July 11th. My wedding is August 1st... fingers crossed that baby doesn't decide to come late! She's going to order her dress a size or two bigger than she normally wears and have it altered at the last possible minute.

I am going to have an 8 almost 9 month pregnant bridesmaid. I told her she could step down, but she insists on staying. I'm letting her choose her own dress, and for ceremony I'm only having MOH and BM up there with us so she can sit down. The only bummer part was that I had to change my BM dresses because I did not want her being the only one in a different dress. Now they can all choose there own, but all have to have the same black bow Smiley smile

Looser flowing chiffon dresses are great for pregnant BM's. But if they are due 3-4 months gives plenty of time for them to adjust to being a Mommy and a BM. Smiley smile
