2 week Honeymoon - where to go?

We're getting married at the end of August and wanted to take 2 weeks for the honeymoon.

I originally thought 1 week Italy, 1 week Greece, but feel like 2 countries in 2 weeks is too aggressive. I've been to Greece, he's been to Italy. We don't want to spend two weeks somewhere we've already been, which is why I figured splitting it.

Any advice on where else to go? Or how to make Italy/Greece work with only 2 weeks?

Carribean is out bc it'll be hurricane season. Generally, we don't like lying around on a beach all day. We like to walk a lot and explore. Don't want to spend more than $2k on flights or more than around $200/night at hotels.

A week in France (Versailles, the Louvre, restaurants [although if you're vegetarian it's a no go on that], the catacombs, shopping)

A week in Italy: two days in Venice, two in Rome, a day at the coast (may I suggest Bari?), a day taking a wine tour, and then the last day is a freebie?

I've been to Tunisia just over a year ago. It's where we got engaged Smiley smile While it was a lovely place i don't have an urge to return unlike some other countries i've been too.

I second the Croatia suggestion. If you've already been to Greece and hes already been to Italy I think that would be a great way to see someplace new while keeping the same general region/trip style.

Late August/Early September is the perfect time for that too. We went in early/mid Sept and it was great bc crowds places like Hvar had thinned out by then but the water temp was still warm.

We considered something similar, but only 1 week in Italy and 1 week in Croatia along the Dalmatian Coast. We actually bought tickets to Split but decided we won't use them. FH has been to Italy, but not to where we are going together, so we're going to just enjoy Italy together. Because of England pulling out of the EU, prices in Italy are really dropping. Woo hoo! We just got an AMAZING price from our travel agent for the two weeks, staying in five-star and four-star hotels with pools, breakfasts included, etc.

I love England/Ireland, but I have no clue how their services in respect to their economy are doing.

You could do a flight to Venice, take trips around italy from there and get on a cruise to Greece. We're doing almost that (only visiting Venice when in Italy) starting tomorrow. It's a 11 night cruise and you can pick what you want to do in each port. We're doing a couple of beach days and a few physically active ones. So in 2 weeks we get to see a little bit more of Italy and a whole lot of Greece.

We're doing Croatia and Hungary. Once I started researching Croatia, I fell in love! It's just as beautiful/versatile as Italy or Greece and there's plenty to do in two weeks.

We finish our not quite two weeks in Australia on Monday Smiley sad. Not sure if you've already been, but we hadn't. We started in Melbourne, flew up to Cairns (rainforest, a couple of days diving, a basic canyoneering tour in a gorge), and are now in Sydney (we apparently walked 28k steps yesterday per my iPhone, doing a Blue Mountains tour tomorrow, and are renting bikes on Sunday).

Of course, being from California, it hasn't been the most exotic - Melbourne reminded us a lot of San Francisco and Cairns of Hawaii...but it's been a nice trip.

Portugal. You could do two weeks there. Easy.
