Just wanted to share some advice for brides and grooms coming up so you don’t run into the same stuff I did - that was super annoying
1. My mother was late 45 minutes and held up make up and hair causing us to lose 30 minutes of pre wedding photos. In hindsight I should have scheduled her to come early
2. The coordinator for the venue not my personal planner started packing stuff up before the reception was over making me and my guests feel like we needed to leave. Like the gift table, welcome table, the FAVOR table so now I have 60% of my favors left that guests didn’t have a chance to take
3. The venue didn’t abide by my schedule which I was very Adamant they follow causing the dinner courses to lag so we skipped a couple formalities to get things back on schedule. I’m a professional planner as well so this made me super mad
4. They mixed my decor I brought to the venue with the florists and because our wedding was out of state I’ll probably never get it back and of course the florist said nothing.
5. While the reception was going on their staff went into the bridal suite and packed everything up mixing mine and everyone else’s belongings together.
All and all these are minor details but for someone like me who is a detail person it was very disheartening I hope your day is perfect!
