I've invited 80 and hope closer to 50!

When we first wrote out our initial guest lists, FH and I had about 250 people combined. The majority of my family/friends are 900+ miles away and would not be able to come, so we've been telling vendors we're expecting 100-150 people. Then a few days ago, when I was nagging him to get addresses, he just went through this entire list of Facebook friends and mass messaged all the people he'd like to invite from there. Easily added another 30... just so far with who's responded to him. I'm not worried about it, except that I had over-ordered on the invites initially, but now I'm starting to sweat a little about not having over-ordered enough to cover this!

HAHAHAH same. We originally wanted to keep it at 100-120. welllppp, that shot up to like 200. So hoping for a lot of declines as we have a lot of outa towners. Invites sent out yesterday so here's hoping!hahahha

With all due respect, I really don't understand inviting guests that you secretly hope will decline. I invited every person I wanted to witness my wedding, but that was a long time ago.

Centerpiece my parents are paying primarily so theres people on the list I didn't exactly choose. Not that its people I dislike or anything just people I am not really close with. I just feel like 200 people will be exhausting.

Yea it seems like every time I talk to my mom or his they are adding someone and STDs have been out for a while now! Plus our venue only allows 120 people MAX! So I'm a little nervous on who will be able to make it. Our wedding is on a Friday about 40 minutes w/o traffic outside of where most of the guests live and the ceremony is at 5 so that could help lower our headcount!

We invited about 230.. we are hoping for at MOST 175.. though 150 would be even better. We hope people will really consider time of year and distance when RSVPing (most live a little over 600 miles away from where the wedding will be).

Yeah, I really am not following this. Why would you hope for so many declines? We are inviting 230 and I will be disappointed if/when we get a decline. /(
