I’m getting married November 13, 2021 and my fiancé and I planned to have a Hawaii honeymoon. With Covid, we realize that travel has become, and will remain, a little more difficult to plan. Hawaii is currently requiring tourists to mandatory quarantine for 14 days or get a Covid Test prior to arrival. It’s hard to determine what rules will be in place by next year, but it makes planning even more stressful. How has COVID affected your honeymoon plans and what options have you found to accommodate for the uncertainty?

Getting married in January, honeymooning later. We originally wanted African safari in April/May, but are now looking at Alaska in either March (if winter activities) or late May/early June (if summer activities). They require negative test within 72 hours which we find reasonable and safe. We'll likely self quarantine at home a bit before the trip to ensure the negative test.

Im getting married on the same day!! Smiley smile

We’ve always talked about taking a cruise to Australia and New Zealand but that’s probably not going to happen. We then thought of Canada but the border is still closed and don’t know when it’ll open up again. Now we’re just thinking of doing a roadtrip and lodging near Lake Tahoe a few days then going to Las Vegas.

Getting married 4/10/21 and waiting to see what travel restrictions will be before we book anything. Thankfully, we had always planned on not honeymooning immediately after the wedding so that I can focus on moving into his house! Our initial idea was Italy and our current backup plan is Hawaii, but who knows if we'll be able to travel to either. We weren't really planning on doing anything till summer anyway so here's hoping we'll have a vaccine and the virus will be under control by then!!

Italy was our first choice as well! When Covid started, we decided it probably want going to be feasible to go to Italy if we planned to go right after the wedding. Hawaii was our backup, but even that is questionable. Hopefully we will have a vaccine soon and things will all work out!

We are planning on doing Universal! We are both huge HP fans and neither of us have been. We are only doing a mini-moon (4 days) and we live in FL already so we aren't too concerned about it.

My fiancé is Hawaiian and Samoan and we planned on going to Hawaii as well but since they’re basically on lock down we’ve changed our plans and we will be staying on land and going to Florida. Hopefully things change by then our wedding is set for summer 2021

We were planning a Europe trip but due the postponing we are now considering just going to Orlando. One the stress of planning a honeymoon that could be canceled and two we don’t want the postponement to effect our life plans so we are trying to buy a house now and immediately try for kids after the wedding which doesn’t leave us with much time or money to travel so far away.

Our wedding is October 23, 2021, my fiance and I had to reschedule our cruise to the Bahamas, we were scheduled to go November this year. So now we will be going November next year, which we are labeling as our honeymoon. We are hoping that all will work out for us to be able to go and not have to postpone then pay another fee to reschedule it.

I'm getting married Nov. 7, 2020, we have no honeymoon plans. We may wait 2 years and do an anniversary trip in place of our honeymoon, at least this gives us time to save up for something really nice.

We did win a three day two night hotel stay, so we might use that in the meantime just to have some us time.

    sight* COVID SUCKS

A trip to Epcot in Orlando could give you a little taste of Europe until you’re able to make to Europe for real. As if wedding and honeymoon planning wasn’t stressful enough, now we have COVID to add on top of it all. Best wishes, safe travels to you both and so excited for your life plans!!

    We got married 10/10/20.

Originally, we were planning on taking an Alaskan cruise during the summer of 2021. But with everything going on now, particularly in the cruise industry, we've tabled that. We plan on taking a road trip instead -- most likely to Colorado, Utah, or Montana (somewhere in that general area, since we live in Ohio) next year.

We did do a "mini moon" right after our wedding in a local state park with luxury cabins, so that at least gave us a relaxing getaway feel in the meantime.

Hawaii's mandates changed in the beginning of October. As long as you can produce a negative Covid-19 test within three days of your flight you are cleared to fly and not required to self-isolate for 14 days.

We booked and are planning on going to Hawaii in late June.

We looked into going to a really beautiful resort in Arizona if we were not able to go to Hawaii but after the rule change we decided to book while tickets were reasonable.

We're planning on touring Ireland and Scotland for ours next summer. I've developed a back up to go to Sedona, AZ with all hotels and flights being refundable to Europe. In the event that they still have strict rules in place, I can cancel and just use those funds for a great hike through Sedona.
