2020 brides & belated receptions

Chloe, on January 7, 2021 at 4:05 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 3
I'm sure there are probably numerous other posts about this, but those of you that were 2020 brides that decided to still go through with a small ceremony or elopement, when did you say "I do," and did you still reschedule for a reception or renewal in 2021? If so, when? And do you think your new date will be in the clear?

My date is this upcoming April and no, we decided to not have a reception. Most of our family refuse to dine indoors and tge weather in our city is unpredictable. Very few restaurants invested in tents here.

We got married August 7, 2020 and rescheduled the reception to August 6, 2021. Still crossing my fingers that things will be fine by then and we will be able to have our dream "wedding."

We got married October 10, 2020 with a small ceremony and reception. Initially, we made some vague plans to do a vow renewal/traditional reception with our original guest list for 2022, but we might just scrap it at this point (mostly due to finances, since our wedding was still expensive).
