2020 brides to Be!!!!!

July 2020 here. We’re ahead of schedule and have everything except for our cake and some smaller rentals booked. My venue is one that I actually had been to before (I had a birthday there when I was younger!) so the expectations and reality were the same. Do you have any that are your front runners on paper?

Nice! Yes I have a number 1 choice. I am swooned in by the picture and scenery alone. I haven't been to this venue but my parents have had a friend who wed their. They say it's gorgeous but, it was also some time ago. I've been doing some research outside of wedding wire and have seen that they've had some recent renovations so I'm just praying they were for the better for my eyes

If not, I do have a backup that I love almost just as much and will be viewing the day after. (Fingers crossed)

Well.. there is a lot still on paper that we are doing. We have the venue.. but everything else is getting booked at the end of the month. I also got a dress then lost weight and now it looks terrible so (yes even altered it looks awful) so I’m ordering a new one which I will also get at the end of the month. (We are 6 months out and we will be getting everything within the next month or so) then we will get the last few things like sunscreen and such over the next few months.
We haven’t seen our venue except in online pictures. And I won’t get a hair and makeup trial with the lady I’m using (so that’s a little stressful). Since it’s a DW but the beach we picked is beautiful. Just like the day will be. I am a control freak and so having EVERYTHING being out of my hands and it being taken care of by people I’ve never met is stressful (they respond to every question I have and have been beyond helpful.. they are also highly rated). so I know it will all be good... So I have to tell myself it will all be okay and be beautiful and better than I could dream.

Venues viewing is exciting What venues are on the list? Is there a venue, in particular, you have a good feeling about?

August 2020. We have booked the following: church, reception venue, florist, hair stylist, photographer.
We've had our engagement photos done and now we are designing save the date's to send in the fall.

Next to book before end of summer: makeup artist, music

We booked most things this past spring. Depends on where you live but where I live everything books up really quickly. I've been turned down by 3 makeup artists already who are booked and we had to book our venue same-day to secure it. They say 2020 is a big year for weddings!

Our venue was even better than expected in person. Make sure you ask tons of questions and get a detailed quote contract.

Nice! June 6 2020 Bride here. I am ahead of schedule! The venue is paid off and all of our other vendors are booked! There's still a lot to do but its all little things at this point. I'm super excited I am ahead of schedule and am hop[ing to have everything done by the end of the year (except dress fittings and things like that)! Congrats and happy planning!

May 2020 bride here! I am way ahead of schedule we already have our venue, bridal party, florist, DJ, photograher +videographer, officiant, hair and makeup all booked, I have my wedding dress, ordered save the dates already, have our registry done, now working on creating our guestbook and I also have my wedding dress,shoes + accessories this is why we are having a longer engagement so we can get things done early and not have to stress! Now just working on sending out STD next

May 2020 here and I'm also way ahead of schedule! We have booked both our ceremony and reception venue as well as photographer. I bought my dress last month and we sent save the dates this week (destination wedding). We have our bridal parties and have done our registry. We are having a family friend do the flowers (not having much to begin with since both are outside and waterfront). I hope your planning is going well!

March 2020. We have everything booked. MOB dress shopping today. Arguing more about tuxes in the next 2 weeks.
After that, it's DIY time.

May 2020 here! I'm not really sure if we are on schedule or not. We have a venue booked, photographer booked, and I have an idea of where I want my hair and makeup done. I still need to go dress shopping (I know I'm a little behind on that!). Our guest list is started, but nowhere near finished. I've picked out my flowers on a silk-touch flower site so that they are on the cheaper side! I still need to work on centerpieces and such! So much to do!

May 2020. I feel like I am on track, all major vendors are booked. Just need to decide on rentals, flowers, and cake. We knew that there were two venues that were very close to our house and the church where we planned to get married. We toured both and immediately knew which one we wanted. It fit in our budget, and it matched our ideas of what we wanted. The other had some more things to offer, but was also 50-75% of our entire budget and not what we wanted to spend. I didn't look at too many review beforehand, but I asked a lot of questions that were related to our specific circumstances (guest count, older guests, bathrooms, etc.).

September 2020 bride here! I feel as though we are a bit ahead of schedule, but who really knows. We have our venue locked down, and are meeting with a photographer and DJ in the next 2 weeks. I knew I wanted to get the big stuff out of the way first, even though my fiance said I was being a little neurotic about it (he thought you could just book people out a month or two in advance. Funny). I figure some of the other smaller details (like centerpieces, signage, etc...) could come a bit later as I would probably change my mind a few times on those.

October 2020 All we have locked in is our Venue. I'm 95% sure who we'll be using for catering and will be settling that next. I'm also pretty sure about our cake....and that's about where we are right now! haha. I told myself once we get closer to the one year mark it's time to really buckle down and commit to stuff

We are October 2020 and we have our venue booked but we're working on everything else. We've started our catering appointments and meeting with vendors for tastings, and I've asked for bids on photographers. I'm hoping to have caterer, photographer, and hotel blocks finished by the end of August at the latest. I'm running into stumbling blocks with things already being booked out over a year in advance! I'm just keeping my head to the ground and taking each day to try to keep from stressing out over it all!
