Who else is getting married in 2+ years? How much planning have you actually done so far? I’m getting married on December 31, 2020 and I feel so lost with planning (or even getting all of my ideas straight) since my wedding is so far away. Anyone else feeling this way?

Just joining this group. My wedding date is September 12, 2020. We're going for a camo and orange, rustic theme. Other than picking out our theme and knowing who's gonna stand next to us and having the guest list down, we haven't done much planning. Just trying to do our best to save as much money as we can. Cause weddings aren't cheap, that's my only feed.

June 2020, potentially 2021 depending on how much I want to defend AND plan a wedding. I think having the time to plan is phenomenal! You can literally craft every minute detail of your wedding because it's so early for everything. Enjoy the engaged ride!

Our wedding date is booked October 17, 2020 and we are more than halfway done! It’s nice because we have plenty of time to pay off vendors but the most important people are booked! I already have my venue booked along with, florist, photographer/videographer, ceremony musician, cake, color scheme, and what kind of food and booze. I have Plenty of time to pay them off and shed a few pounds for engagement session scheduled February of 2019 and to get into my dress! Don’t stress though and feel like you have to do a lot. We all have the advantage cause if something doesn’t seem right or you wanna make slight changes here and there you can without it causing drastic changes to your big day ❤️

    Hi Shaina!

I fell in love with a dress and found it for an amazing price so I bought it. My wedding is Feb 2020, but since I truly love the dress I think it’s fine that I bought it early. Smiley smile

We are getting married in February of 2020!

I love planning so I have my dress, photographer, ceremony venue, officiant, DJ, Reception venue, ceremony music, and save the dates taken care of!
I'm really enjoying the extra time to figure out exactly what we want and save for the more expensive parts!

We are getting married in October or November 2020
Super excited. We decided on a small budget , FH chose our colors. I love to plan things so it being far in advance I'm like soaking it in & trying to not overplan things lol. I have messaged a couple venues including my dream one have not set up a tour yet but maybe in the next couple weeks (since school for my kiddo is starting on the 30th)!! We don't have a theme but I know I want to incorpate our fandoms (I'm a hufflepuff & he likes the joker) someway without it clashing.

I’m getting married June 6th, 2020! I’m excited to have already secured my date & booked a venue. I have my bridal party, just now waiting to surprise them all by asking them at my engagement party. My venue was all inclusive so I don’t have to do much but order the cake, photographer, videographer, and little details I want to include! Which really eases the stress of trying to find different vendors for every little thing. Next step is looking at dresses which I am doing in a few weeks! I’d say I’m a little ahead for a wedding 2 years away but I know it’s going to creep up quick.

I'm doing 10/10/2020 too! My FH had wanted Halloween because that falls on a wedding but when I started naming off other Saturdays he liked the repetition of the day. We have decided on the wedding party, but still need to ask, and then also started sussing out different vendors that we may like to use. I'm excited for winter to roll around for all the fall decorations to go on sale so I can start stocking up.

I’m so glad I’m not alone! There are actually other women that are planning way in advance like me! I’m having my vow renewal ceremony on 10/18/2020. We just had a simple courthouse wedding in 2013 with just our mothers there. I didn’t even wear a dress. This time I want a nice wedding. I’ve booked the venue, catering, photographer, wedding planner, bought my dress, made up a preliminary guest list, made song lists so we can self DJ, picked colors, bought most of my decor, bought my Mom’s dress, picked out accessories, bought stationary. I’m just waiting on a few really good deals (if it’s not at least 40% off I won’t buy it) and I’ll be set. My planner will double as my florist. I know where I’m renting my arch and the layout of my ceremony/ reception space. I’ve literally overplanned every step of this process with a detailed budget that I go over daily. I’m a bit OCD lol. Good Luck Everyone!!!!
