2020 just keeps on giving

So a few weeks back we decided to cut our guest list down due to covid, which I really wasn’t upset about at all. And I was excited about our new wedding timeline & plans. We’re supposed to get married in orange beach in December & the area was hit by a Category 2 hurricane 4 days ago. The resort (where our room block is & where the ceremony will take place) is without any power, sewage, water, etc & some of the buildings sustained significant water damage due to a water line bursting. From what I know, each unit will have to individually inspected before any repairs can begin. And obviously repairs can’t happen without electricity. Ugh. I’m really heartbroken for the community having to deal with the devastation but I really don’t know what we’re gonna do if they’re not able to accommodate us. Just one more thing thrown our way in 2020!
