2020 weddings

June 2020 here. We have all of our people and place booked except for our DJ (who is apparently on tour in Europe right now?!) We have a meeting scheduled but not sure if he will be back by then. Have my dress and finishing up DIY decorations. Some other decorations will have to wait until summer to be finished. We are asking the people we want in our bridal party this month and then just have to basics left, suits, BM dresses, honeymoon, wedding bands. I'm hoping to be done with everything by the end of the year so come 2020 I can sit back and enjoy the time before we are married.

July 2020. We have a venue, open bar plan, and DJ. We are working on photographers currently.

September 2020. We have the venue booked, DJ just booked this week, photographer meeting set up for this weekend and also have a person coming onsite to do hair already!

April 2020 here!

We have booked the following: venue, caterer, photographer, DJ, photobooth

I have verbal confirmation for my hair stylist and MUA but need to confirm w/ contract at some point

I have purchased my dress, belt, shoes, and earrings; I also have gotten lanterns and fake florals for my DIY centerpieces that i'll be making this summer

I have picked my bridesmaids and FH has picked his best man. My bridesmaids have pretty much decided on what dresses they want, but won't purchase them until late this year (I want them to be sure those are the ones they like best)

I'm currently working on ordering swatches for groom and groomsmen attire from various places, and just ordered samples from an online paper company for the invitations

We might be getting our wedding bands at a special sale event this weekend!

I'm a little "ahead," but trying to have as much done as possible before I start my first year of teaching in August

Guest list, budget, and our savings plan are pretty set. We have our reception venue booked (comes with catering and DOC) and are speaking with a potential photographer this week. Aiming to book our DJ later this month and figure out the ceremony location in late spring (either at the church I grew up in or at our reception venue for a bit more $$$, but my church is in between pastors at the moment so things are complicated). We'll hopefully have our florist and cake booked this summer and I'll start looking at dresses then as well.

We got engaged almost a year ago and felt like we had all the time in the world to plan, but it seems like couples are already booking September 2020 vendors so now we're trying to step up our pace! We've been saving for the past six months so at least we can put down vendor deposits pretty easily.

September 2020 here

Putting deposit down tomorrow for our venue (ceremony and reception) and got our photographer just got to put the deposit down. That's all what we have gotten done yet. I was going to hire an wedding planner but the price of one isn't worth the money when I could do it myself with help of family and friends.

June 2020 here! So far we have the Church booked for our ceremony and we have the reception venue on hold (still need to place money down). This Saturday we're going to be meeting with the beverage and alcohol company to ask any questions we have!

July 4, 2020.

I have my ceremony venue, reception venue, harpist, and officiant booked. I've started my registry and finished my website. I have 2 dresses on order for me to try on, which will arrive in about 6 months. (The shop owner is awesome. She ordered both in my size and will sell the one I don't want.) I have my cake topper. Sola flower samples, bridesmaid fabric swatches, and my STDs are all on order. (It's too early to send STDs but Zazzle is having 50% off today.) I'm also currently discussing a contract with a videographer.

With all of that done, I still feel like there is still so much to do.

May 2020. We have booked our venue w/catering, DJ and photographer. We've bought our rings, and I bought my dress. I've picked my bridal party, and the girls and I have started looking at options for their dresses. I've ordered fabric swatches in a few different colors for those.

I'm constantly researching ideas for DIY decor/centerpieces. Still researching a lot of things, actually! I've got to keep my costs as low as possible, so that means a ton of research, to find the best deals.

Engagement photos are next month, and when they are ready, we'll pick a few to put on our STDs.

Wedding website is pissing me off (I'm not very tech savvy, so it's a constant battle), so I've taken a break from that until I can get some tech help.

So many things still to do, but we still have lots of time.

We are getting married 04/25/20 in Destin, FL. I've pretty much booked all of the big things. Planner, ceremony/reception area, photographer, dj, officiate, videographer. I found all of the vendors that I wanted so there was no point for me to just wait closer to time.

You still have a lot of time my wedding will be a month before yours I have everything booked except my cake I will wait a little. I haven't gotten a dress yet I didn't want to go too early but the way it seems like I'm behind. I just have a lot of money to save we are half way but we have to pick you the pace a little. You seem like you are on a roll so just don't stress at any time everything will come together.

I feel behind with the dress thing all I have is a reception dress will also be my engagement photo dress that will be taken in May. I have not been in any wedding dress stores to find a dress yet I'm still up in the air about who will be my bridesmaids.

You have plenty of time for the dress and wedding party. Focus on booking things that will sell out... the venue, photographer, DJ, etc. The dress should be fun.
