Wedding dates in 2020? Anybody think it’s any different than any other year, or is the year 2020 just appealing? Planning now for Month of September. Has one ran into complications of date already being booked this early in the year?

October 31, 2020 here! So far only one venue we spoke to have us trouble. I asked about the date and instead of giving me a clear yes or no, they told me the venue would be available for the 21st or something like that 🙄 They also got some of my other information wrong so we decided that they wouldn't be a good fit anyway

We picked probably one of the more popular dates 10/10/2020. As we were looking for venues , our venue told us they kept getting inquires for the date. Soon after we booked it the event planner told us that she kept getting more. But I'm glad we booked it when we did.

We were originally planning Oct 2019, but pushed ours back to April 25, 2020. Mainly to have more time to save, but also, I loove Spring!!!

I don’t think you’ll run into any issues just yet if you book now. We booked our venue last year and i just talked to them the other day and we are still the only wedding for that date (7/2/20) 😁

    My date is 6 20, 2020.
My FH thinks hindsight jokes are funny.
I work in a school and just didn't want to get married while school is in session.

That's great thinking! Makes perfect sense to me! Smiley heart

That time of the year, approaching Fall, will be absolutely lovely too! Smiley heart That's a great point, it does give you a little bonus time to plan & save.

Thank you so much! Smiley heart

May 31, 2020. We were originally set for April 26, 2020 but my Pastor wasn’t available so we pushed it back. I’m excited that HOPEFULLY fingers crossed we can have a beautiful May Sunday afternoon wedding.

I would make sure to book early for a September wedding regardless of the year. We went to book our venue in June 2018, for June 2019. They said luckily we wanted June, because apparently most couples want September/October, and they were already booking into September/October 2020 (but every other month still had availability in 2019!)

Just be sure to make your big decisions soon before they book up if you want a popular month Smiley smile

2020 is a cool year though. FH and I both really wanted to get married in 2020 just because it’s a cool year. (But we got engaged in December 2017 so already an 18 month engagement, didn’t want to extend it an extra year just for the cool year lol)

New to the 2020 wedding's originally 9/1/19. But I am sick in the hospital so I needed to take a pause from planning and focus on my health so my new date 1/11/2020

My date is in August 2020 and at the wedding show I was at recently the vendor I was chatting with mentioned that there are a ton of 2020 weddings. When booking my venue the exact date I wanted was not booked but 2 of the other weekends in the month were and I booked 2 years out! I know a lot of vendors such as photographers are booking 2020 currently too. Something must be appealing to people. We picked 2020 cause I'll be completely done school (graduate with my masters the may before) by wedding day

We booked everything back in April of 2018 so I can't really say. My best guess though is that you shouldn't run into too many complications if you're booking in the next couple months for a March - December 2020 wedding!

ETA: To answer your question about 2020 we picked 2020 because we wanted to get married on an anniversary and March 21, 2020 falls on a Saturday and happens to be our 6 year anniversary! The more I talk about 2020 though the more I like how it rolls off the tongue for some reason haha. But maybe that's just because I'm excited to be getting married next year haha.

I’m getting married April 2020. We booked our venue right after Christmas 2018 and the whole month of April was available. However, the venue was completely booked for all of May & June as well as all of September & October for 2020.

I'm not getting married till October 2020. Very new venue, we booked last week after getting engaged on Christmas, and our original date that we wanted was already booked. I suggest booking venue as soon as possible!
