Mine is 20K but I think I'm going over that budget.

Hi there. We had a 2021 wedding in a high cost of living city. We came in $20k under our max proposed budget in large part due to guest declines with Delta anxiety. I was sad for the declines, but I allowed a couple options at the end to make it more party. We used existing cash, tax refunds, and a gift from my parents to plan in 5 months (health concerns). My tip: know who of you is the budget gatekeeper Smiley winking Best wishes to you!

Yes I need to save once I seen how much some of the venue that have a partner up with. I started then looking at other ways to bring down the prices. And so much separation between them. So I bought most of all of my decor right down too my flowers. And my venue gave us very nice chairs, tables also if we wanted to used there other company which is there's also I get 50% off from what I wanted to rent from. Which is very little we will used a few things and with there discounts its I paid nothing. Lol lol

We only have to figure out where we’re getting our cupcakes from for our guests (we’ve already sorted the other desserts) and where we’ll be getting a small cake for the two of us. Outside of that planning is done! The wedding is in 6 months. I had all of our vendors back in October right after we booked our venue. I have my dress and accessories/ shoes. He just needs his tux and I have to finish getting decor

We’re not going on a honeymoon so we’ll be putting whatever we have left in credit cards right before and paying it off after the wedding with whatever we get

We initially thought around 30-35K but with the size of our wedding it's going to come in around 47.5K. Both sets of parents gave us $10,000 which has helped. But we're still paying almost 30k on our own.

Hello... My original Budget was 20K. Then my wedding and ceremony cost 25,500 but all food and top shelf bar is included with service staff. So my new budget is 40K. DJs seem to cost 2,200-5,000. Photographers 3,000-5,000. and everything in-between so I would say unless you plan on doing a lot of DIY its going to go over.

Paying for this ourselves so the budget is 8,000. We are about $12.00 over, so doing good!

Sounds like us! Most everything is paid for (except the tips). Got my dress at a great bargain. Just need his tux and my shoes. We're doing this in 6 months, too. We're doing a lot DIY with a small cake for us and cupcakes for our 50 guests. Found a local museum to get married and have the reception that was so much cheaper than anywhere else! Maybe I won't have elegant decorations in every corner of the room, but it's going to be nice!

Oh man! My budget is 20k without the honeymoon originally. Then I realized that’d be hard to do (6 month engagement without parental support). So I moved that to 20k with the honeymoon. Our honeymoon keeps getting more expensive every time we find a deal on the wedding 😂 we are like budget goldfish over here. I think currently we are at 20,017$

Our budget was $15k. We are paying for things ourselves but accepting help as it is offered when it is. We’d we’ve been able to stay under so far which is amazing! The more money we save on the wedding the more we can spend on the honeymoon 😊

We estimated 14K, I hoping not to exceed 15K. Little details add up quick.

Sounds like a great plan! I was originally hoping to keep our budget under 10k. We’re doing it in 6 months and also paying out of pocket.

My original budget was 40K. but with my venue/food (top shelf liquor and food) and wedding planner/ décor/ invitation etc. I am at budget. My mom is paying for the photographer and videographer and now I am looking looking to stretch 12-14K for my dress, suit, rings, cake, honeymoon, DJ, hotel, transportation, etc...

A few of my friends got married during COVID and they said they wish they had waited because it was not the wedding they planned for. I truly believe you only get married once so go all out and make it the wedding you always wanted.

Exactly I was like eff it- if I’m already at 24k why limit a few thousand and not have the exact wedding I want! Me and my fiancé will be paying it off for a year but we already own a home and don’t really need to worry about finances. Do I wish I eloped you Hawaii? Heck yeah but since I’m not I’ll enjoy the wedding Smiley smile
