2021 Brides, Share your wedding dates :)

April 10, 2021 We are in the NYC metro area, so I am hoping everything will be back to somewhat normal by then! I already have the venue, church, DJ, photographer, videographer, and photobooth booked. Also got my dress just before the pandemic (thankfully!!)

My wedding is scheduled for February 20th, 2021!

Hoping we don't have to push it back due to corona virus restrictions. Really don't want guests wearing face masks and having to sit 6 ft apart which isn't really possible at a wedding.

I actually need yalls help! So I'm hoping to invite 100 people. I've ordered to have my wedding cake (carrot cake flavor) for 60 people and then was going to have a dessert table with a bunch of donuts, cookies, and chocolate covered strawberries. Do you think me getting a cake for only 60 instead of 100 is okay? I'm worried say...80 people want cake. I'm not sure if I should change my plans for the cake and make it for 100 people to be safe. I was planning on getting like 5 dozen donuts to substitute in case someone didn't like carrot cake or didn't want any cake. What do you guys think?

I just also don't want a bunch of cake leftover either even though I love me some cake. I mentioned the donuts and everything to my mom and she said, "oh I'll have some donuts too!". I'm like NO MOM they're only if you aren't eating cake! (insert face palm). This is my dilemma too that people want to eat cake and stuff from the dessert table!

In my opinion you will be just fine with what you have ordered. My wedding is in March 2021, I am praying Covid 19 will be contained or over soon. I cannot imagine the stress that this years couples are going through.

We postponed our wedding celebration to 10/10/21. We’re so excited and it seems more fitting than our original date.

View Quoted Comment Maybe do all donuts with some carrot cake flavored and tiered like cake, frosted and everything. that way your guests who want carrot cake and a donut can have both without the potential of somebody not getting either. When guests don't see as many options, in my experience (my mom is an event planner; weddings are her forte), they tend to be MORE mindful that their getting "too much" (whatever amount they deem it to be) could result in someone else not getting any.
Go for what you and your future husband like best and let the rest sort itself out.
Btw, my wedding is a meger 5 days after yours.
