2021 brides... what month do you think is safe to have wedding (early or late 2021)?

Hey brides! I'm planning on rescheduling my destination wedding to 2021 and just curious what months you all are planning your wedding for. When do you think it'll be relatively "safe"? Mid 2021 (May-ish) or late 2021 (nov-ish)?

Hang in there everyone, we will get through this.

I'm planning my wedding for August of 2021. Of course, I didn't have to reschedule it that's just when it was planned for. All the predictions I've seen say that even if we are still dealing with Covid, there will most likely be a vaccine by that point.

If I were you I'd schedule for later in the year August/September time. Most brides who have rescheduled already probably just moved it at most by a year to keep their spring weddings. Therefore if you're planning on rescheduling, planning for late summer/early autumn will help make sure vendors are available. Plus since it's further out you have a better chance of everything being okay.

    Hope this helped!

We're planned for the last weekend in June in 2021, and I'm expecting to be fine. There really isn't a way to know if there will be a vaccine by then, or at all, so relying on that isn't certain. There is no way of knowing for sure what this will do, but most viruses don't do well during the hot months, so I'd plan for the summer months.

My wedding is DW in Jamaica currently for November 2020. I am trying to re schedule to May 2021. I feel 75% good there will be a treatment or vaccine available by spring of next year. However, it is very hard to predict what our world will look like in 6 months from now. I worry if the DW is too late in the year, that the flight cost will go up due to covid.

Just one other thing, find out from your venue right away what dates are available., if you haven’t already. Turns out there are no good dates from my resort for next year. So I now have to find a new location/venue, possibly lose half my deposit and do the stressful re planning of a group DW 🤪

I guess to be on the safe side, if you haven't booked already, see what dates are available late 2021. Last thing you would want is to book mid year and then just end up having to change it again. We've already changed ours a few times for other reasons. We've decided February before everything went down so we're just hoping that everything is somewhat settled by that time. Good luck whichever you choose!

We postponed to May 2021, but obviously if we had a choice we probably would have preferred to reschedule out to fall. It seems like more time would be beneficial, but I don't think any of us knows what the future holds or how coronavirus will be manged in the next year or so.
