I am scheduled to get married in Mexico on 5/21/21 and with with the CDC’s new regulations I don’t know if o should cancel or not. Does anyone else have a wedding destination for this year and do you plan to go through with it? 2021 Wedding Destinations 1

Are you staying at a resort? Not sure about Mexico, but many Caribbean resorts are offering COVID testing onsite so that travelers can get their tests before returning home. We are honeymooning in St. Lucia (also in May) so it is a huge relief to know we won’t need to worry about finding a testing site in a foreign country if this order is still in place.

Yes, I likely would still attend. You might try looking up the resort information and see what their testing situation is like. I have heard that the Caribbean has robust testing at the resorts as the PP indicated. Of course, do what’s best for you

Yes, we are staying on a resort. Maybe I should call them and see if they offer testing. I would hate to have to find a testing site.

We’re getting the vaccine (have our appointments set for the 2nd dose in 2 weeks). We’re going to Jamaica for our honeymoon the Monday after our wedding & plan on getting rapid tests the day before our wedding. That way we have proof of our vaccine & proof of negative test results.

I'm also having a wedding in Mexico later this year. I wouldn't cancel. Most resorts are beginning to offer on-site testing to accommodate this new CDC rule. My resort offers it for free for guests who stay 3 nights or more so I'm assuming most resorts in the area will too.
It sucks, but people who want to come will come! Hopefully many will be vaccinated by then and everyone will be just fine.
