2022 Brides what is your thought on Favors?

I have a lot of people telling me not to worry about favors. I also saw a couple of tiktoks with past brides saying their guest did not care about the favors! I am sooo torn, not knowing if I should spend the money on it or not. Let me know your thoughts? I need some advise.

I would definitely skip unless you do something creative like a make your own goodie bag and have some candy. But I still wouldn’t go crazy with the amount you get. Most guest won’t take them.

I am doing favors that also double as escort cards. I do resin crafts so I am making ornaments with pressed ferns and flowers. For each one there will be a paper tag (that can be taken off) with their name and table number. 2022 Brides what is your thought on Favors? 1

Thankfully I have a friend who is willing to do our favors for us!!! It’s not a lot… but it’s something. Now that I am reading some of your responses, I am glad that I chose to go an easier route, which I felt was originally tacky. I’ll see if I can find a picture!!! 2022 Brides what is your thought on Favors? 2

You could do the edible route or alternatively make a charitable donation in your guests names.

We are not doing traditional favors, not even edible ones, but we're having a photobooth, so the pictures our guests will take will be the favors! Sure, adding a photobooth is more expensive than doing traditional favs but the pics will last forever and we saved on other areas in order to afford the booth.😋😊.

I think it’s a waste of money. I did it for my first wedding but I’m skipping for my second. No one seemed to care and I spend that money on something else for the wedding.

We just had our wedding this weekend, so I thought I’d share our experience with favors! For favors, we created welcome bags for each couple and they were a huge hit with our guests for our destination wedding! At the wedding, instead of traditional favors, we had our caterer make a late night snack that they had in little bags that were passed out on the way to the after party, and everyone raved about them.

What I gathered was that if it is thoughtful, your guests will notice and they will appreciate them.

I can say as an attendee the only favor I've ever been really excited to receive was a snack for the road. That's our plan.

My favors are also our celebration when we kiss after we say i do. I didn't want bubbles or didn't know what else we could do. So since we are Hispanics i wanted something to honor that so i got my guest maracas!! It has our initials and our date on them. If you do decide on favors get something that you know your guest will use.

This is a good question! I didn’t know soo many people were against favors. I’ve been racking my brain over rather to do them or not as well. I think I’ll just do a candy bar and maybe simple snacks like chips and a nature made bar. I now know not to over think this part in planning.

I'm not doing favors because most guests not going to appreciate it, lose it or leave it there.

I’m on the same boat! I don’t know if to give them or not. I think favors are traditions. On the other hand I thought to give out succulents.

Yes! and the insight from everyone was definitely an eye opener. I think we will be going towards something edible as well.

This is a quick reply but for my second wedding, we don’t need gifts or are giving favors. You are invited to our wedding either ceremony or reception and we provide foods/drinks as we deem necessary. Btw we are planning for 100-150
