Hi 2022 brides!! Congrats!

How early is to early for planning? Do you have a vision? What is it? Are you booking things? Obstacles you’ve experienced so far? Was your wedding pushed back? Feelings? Thoughts? Anything at all 2022 brides! Would like this to be a forum of just thoughts and whatnot for brides to be!

We booked the venue so far. There’s no much to DO right now but I’m doing lots of thinking, talking with my girls (who are my bridesmaids) and things like that.

We moved ours from 2020 to 2022. I just keep planning to the detail until I realized I am the only one planning. I had everything ready, but I want to change the venue, and therefore the attire needs to change too, except my dress. I feel like 1 - 1 1/2 years are okay to start planning, especially if the venue is well known.

10/30/2022 - booked a venue and not much past that. Have colors picked out, taste testing food tomorrow just to get it out of the way and for something to do. Just gathering ideas. We are getting married at an apple orchard on our 8th dating anniversary, venue is a barn. Hoping to get married outside. Reception will have lawn games and a fire pit, only having a MOH and she will be wearing a Cabernet color dress from Azazie. I think I want an a-line dress, romantic with floral patterns/lace. I won’t be going dress shopping until November. We are having a donut sundae bar instead of cake, there will be a coffee bar to but hoping i can serve hot cocoa and apple cider as well - just going for a really fall vibe.

In my opinion it's never too late to plan, I feel like it'll just make things a breeze once the BIG DAY comes around. Yes I have my theme and venue, also have hair & make-up booked, my wedding assistant booked, and hopefully will have our Videographer booked this coming week! Also one of my bridesmaids just delivered this AWESOME wedding planner, sooo excited! My day is set for May 7, 2022!

We got engaged in March 2020 and held off planning until the vaccines came out. I was so excited to set a date for August 2022 and start planning finally! So far we've booked the venue/caterer, officiant, photographer and DJ. I'm so glad to have the big things out of the way! Next stop will be dress shopping in the summer. Until then, a nice break Smiley smile

We are getting married Tuesday 4-12-22. We are pulling the trigger now on many things. We were soft planning and brain storming last year. That made it much easier to pull the trigger this month as I had an idea what me "I don't care" fiance actually cared about. (Hint he cares a lot more then he lets on) Based on the brain storming; the first venue I had us go to was the one we ended up picking after looking at a few others. As we were booking on a Tuesday we had some comfort of time. Verse those booking on a weekend in 2022. Two others getting married in 2022 had to pounce on their weekenda at their "this is the one" as their where not many left. We had a rough idea of how many guests were wanted at our wedding and made a rough guest list before looking at venues. This way we wouldn't get a space to big or to small. We have decided on our colors and theme for our wedding. We are now starting the hunt for a dj that will be able to meet or needs. As we are not very much into dancing; we need mood music that makes people happy to be there but we can talk over it. Our thing is playing games and spending time with our guests. I have to talk logistics with my pastor and hairstylist about a Tuesday wedding or find out if I need to find someone else. We know who we are asking to be in our bridal party we are slowly making our way though the list. Our venue comes with the lines, tables, chairs, catering, and cake include so we don't need to worry about that. Our treating with them is in July as the do it as part of a wedding expo for all brides in a quarter they have coming up. So that's another thing we don't have to stress about. I have a lot of friends who are into photoghrey so I now have plenty of recommendations on who they trust to do a good job at the wedding. The biggest hurdle I have is getting my mom here to go dress shopping. With covid she has been responsible and not traveling. I am allergic to plants so no real flowers and I love arranging flowers so I'm buying artificial flowers as a come across them that fit what I want. And I'm ok having extra as I use them in decorating my house. ...um TLDR we booked a venue and are now plowing a head full steam ahead cause I'm to excited not to. And it's a Tuesday wedding so finding vendors that do weekdays.

October 8, 2022 here! We’ve already booked venue, day-of-coordinator, and just booked catering. With so many people pushing back their wedding from last and this year, we wanted to get a head start! I will be dress shopping this summer. Also, going to have my bridesmaids try on dresses later in the summer because my sister is picky and will take forever to find something!

    Super excited for the wedding!!

9/2/2022! We only booked the venue so far, which included reception and ceremony space and food!

We had our engagement shoot this past Saturday, but only because I won a contest for a free engagement shoot, however we LOVED the photographer we met with so we are probably going to book him for our wedding.

I reached out to a couple DJ's in the area for quotes, but haven't booked yet.

Trying to plan as much as possible with not overdoing it at the same time.

Hi! Definitely not too early for 2022 planning. I’m
looking for venues now and lots of places are already booked. I already found my dress back in December so at least that is done. My mantra is the earlier the better!

I have everything booked except for my DJ. I figured everyone who cancelled their weddings in **** would be going to 2022 so we decided to book our venue early. Our wedding date is 9/16/2022. I feel like the earlier you plan the less stress you’ll have

I started planing my wedding and it’s on November 2022. The only thing we paid for is the deposit for the venue. We decided to make our engagement longer so we can plan in peace and budget our wedding without the pressure

We booked our venue and meeting with caterer. Since there were so many weddings pushed back in 2020 all the weddings have overflowed into the following year. I’m nervous everything is going to book fast!

Hello.... NO, it’s not too soon at all! I started planning as soon as he proposed. I bought my dress. Bought the guys their shirts. We have chosen all of our vendors & deposits have been made. Meal planned. I have bought all my flowers, all our signs. I just received our tablecloths & napkins yesterday. I still need lace overlays for the tables. We started working on tableware but I can’t decide what I want. Lol. I made our table centerpieces for the flowers. Still ALOT to do, but it’s coming together. I didn’t want my anxiety to flare up rushing a few months before the wedding.
