October 2022! We are doing a destination wedding. We have booked our venue, picked our colors, spoke to our pastor about officiating and are 80% done with confirming with our wedding party. I know 2022 feels far away but honestly this year will fly by.

10/22/22 here, and we haven’t booked anything yet. We have our theme and colors picked out, our bridal party, and our songs so far. I’ll be making a lot of our decorations so we don’t have to worry too much about that.

The venue, church, hair artist , make-up artist, band, photographer(s) and florist are all booked for our September 2022 wedding. If you want a A list team in the heart of Chicago vendors book quick. I would recommend doing the same.

I don't think it's too early. I already have my DJ, my photographer, my Chapel , my reception hall, my flowers in my dress. Plus I have accumulated quite a few things along the way

I’m currently planning a wedding for August of 2022 and it has been really helpful to have the prep time to organize what they want and need and especially nice to have the time to focus on the nitty gritty stuff months before the “real” planning time which is usually a year out. My own personal wedding is in spring of 2023 and I have a venue picked out, themes, colors, bridal party. I think it really depends on the type of wedding vibe you want as well as who you are.

I'm very much a procrastinator and i change my mind alot.. we've also had a bunch of hardships with covid. Also each of our big milestones have been by two. We dated for 2 years, got engaged, and now we are planning our wedding out two years after our engagement

Since my wedding is on Labor Day weekend 2022 we decided to start putting down payments on vendors such as tent rental, photographer, DJ and what not. Only issue is deciding how big we want his event. We’re a private couple so it’s been difficult finding a vendor that’s ok with minus 80 guests.

I got engaged in June 2020 and planning my wedding for June 2022! We picked that year because we want to get married on the same day we started dating. We booked our venue early February of 2021, which worked out because another couple was actually looking at our date! The sooner you book your venue, the better, or else you will end up having to compromise things. Our photographer is booked already only because we are hiring our friend, otherwise I don’t know what we’d be doing for that. I started dress shopping in January of 2021, so I won’t be rushed at all. By the time I pick my favorite, get it shipped in, get alterations, etc. it really won’t be that early. The rest hasn’t been too rushed, but we are looking at invitations and everything else so we have time to choose and find exactly what we want. The earlier, the better to me! Plus, you’ll get 2021 prices which are normally cheaper than ‘22 or ‘23.

March 19th is our date! We are starting to plan things now. A little over a year will give us plenty of time hopefully. Our wedding will be small though around 50 guests, so we think we will be fine in a years amount of planning.

Hi! I got engaged in February of 2020 and we planned our wedding for August of 2022 off the bat because I wanted to finish school, so it was not pushed back. But I definitely don’t think it’s too early to be planning for 2022 weddings because vendors are already booking up so quickly, especially with other brides having to change their plans from earlier! All we have so far is the vendor and I have asked all of my bridesmaids to be apart of my day, someone from his family is going to be doing a pig roast for us so we don’t have to worry about catering so much. I’m looking at dresses and trying to figure out my vision. Excited to dive into the rest!!

Definitely not too early to start planning! Smiley smile my fiancé and I got engaged on 10/4/20 and we have already set our budget and date, created our guest list, chosen our theme, and booked our venue, photographer & videographer, as well as DJ. My philosophy is, the sooner you start planning, the less stressed you’ll be leading up to your big day!

October 2022 and haven't booked anything yet! (Which is a little stressful, seeing how on top of it so many of you are!) But I finished reading 'A Practical Wedding,' and have contacted several venues to find out what exactly is within our budget. I'm loving the idea of a picnic and lawn games in a big open space away from the city, and my mom has gently nudged me toward looking at venues near where I currently live, instead of trying to plan something in New England from a distance during a pandemic. (That's where both of our families live and where we met. But wow, it's already easier looking at nearby venues, and feels more realistic! Thanks mom)

I'm planning now, I've bought my dress and my fiancee and I have decided on a venue just have to put a deposit down this week. We're looking at October 2022, so its a while away but things are definitely booking now.

I've also found a bartender i want to use because it's a barn venue and they don't have one specifically there

And food BBQ buffet style because we're not traditional people and price.
My coworker is gonna be the Ordained Minister because she's known the two of us the whole time together
I'm doing alot of the planning so I've priced out what were gonna splurge on and what were gonna save on....

We got engaged on the 13th of February, and I may have jumped straight into planning. We're having a fifteen month engagement. We've looked at three venues, and have fallen in love with two. My MOH wanted me to start picking my colors, and she is having a blast looking at wedding dresses. I found one that fits our budget, but my fiance is already looking at upping our budget. We're very much in the early stages, but I don't think there is such a thing as too early to start planning. I'm very type-A, and have been building Pinterest boards for six/seven years. He was excited to see me start building the real board. Congratulations to all you beautiful brides-to-be, and happy planning.

Well I certainly planned early and got big ticket vendors booked: venue, caterer, DJ, and photographer. I plan to take a little break and get back into it later but our photographer will take engagement photos this summer and the caterer/dj we went ahead and booked because they were really good prices and did great at our venue many times before. We also did one tasting before we booked. Next item that is a little harder is the videographer so I'm taking my time with that one to make sure I find the right person.

I’ve been engaged a little over one month and have most of everything planned for my September 2022 wedding! Guest list draft is already completed. I have already started buying things for decorations and reception/rehearsal as well! It’s never too early! I have a DJ and a venue booked!

We got engaged 10-25-20. We are shopping venues now and I’ve bought my dress. I definitely feel like we are behind in the process but I’m over planner. How are you storing your materials that you get from vendors prior to the final choice? Right now we are “organizing” in a Nordstrom bag. 😀. Any suggestions or have has anyone found a pretty accordion file?

My wedding date is June 19 2022 and I booked my photographer, my DJ I know where I want to have the ceremony and reception but have yet to secure the venue. I bought my dress, shoes, after party shoes, hair pieces, jewelry. Made my bouquet, did my decoration for the ceremony chairs, made my centerpieces, painted my mr and mrs signs for the sweetheart table. Got some decorations for the sweetheart table. Designed my invitations. Got my maid of honor and jr bridesmaid fitted and they chose their dress styles. Set my dress alterations date. The guys are all gonna get fitted around November- January. Planning early is never a bad thing unless you have things like covid get in the way them I can see that causing huge problems.
