Hi! Its never to soon i will be engaged one year this month and our wedding is June 11, 2022 and i have everything booked from the venue to the cake to the dj flowers and photographer. As of last week i just have to get my dress in July and worry about getting some last min stuff like Picture frames cake topper and cutter and wedding favors. Im having a Harry Potter themed wedding so I wanted to be as organized as possible bc there was a lot to buy with the theme. I also work for a wedding company so i new pretty much new what i did and did not want in planning my own. I want to feel and have as less stress as possible leading up to the big day!! Fingers crossed

03/19/2020 here! We have our venue booked already because they were already booking up for next spring. I'm currently researching other vendors that I know are going to book up soon, like our photographer. I'm looking forward to a longer engagement so that we can plan everything a little slower and be a little more stress free.

Our wedding date is 9/17/2022. We have booked our venue and DJ. I’m currently researching and looking at several different photographers and caters so we can stay within budget. I think starting early and getting the big things out of the way, will help make things a little less stressful, once it comes down to planning every tiny detail. I have my colors picked out, I gave my fiancé a list of a few different color options for his and wedding party tuxes. I’m still struggling on exactly what decorations I want, but that time will come. I’m just doing a lot of Pinterest and pinning right now when it comes to that. Dress shopping will be happening this summer! I was reading through some of the comments, whomever had the idea of a s’mores bar because they have a fire pit at their venue, THANK YOU!!!! I love that idea SO much! We have a fire pit as well, and I never would have thought of that! Now my brain is thinking/planning away lol, s’mores bar, and maybe a small roasting hotdog station near the fire pit, for later in the night? Our venue is for the weekend, and some of our immediate family will be staying onsite, for travel accommodations. 🤔

We booked our ceremony and reception venue and are paying on it monthly ($153/month for 2022 as opposed to ~$350/month for 2021), we have found our officiant, though we havent offically booked her, we have found our inviations and save the dates, already got our guest list mostly set, and im looking for a cheap dress online that i can have altered into my dream dress! Even with the wedding more than a year away, I still dont feel like theres enough time!

Definitely not too early! Got engaged 11/7/2020 & our wedding date is 6/18/2022. We already booked the church, venue, caterer, photographer, & dj. Need to get a florist still & start dress shopping. Have colors picked, just need to finalize the bridal party. We jumped on the planning early due to Covid & we’re glad we did because things are booking up quick!

My wedding is 6/18/22, I’ve got the venue booked and aim to book caterer and photographer by end of this month (March 2021). I live in a wedding destination area (Northern Michigan) and vendors booked 1 1/2 - 2 years out before COVID! Once those three are booked, I plan to just Pinterest and browse ideas for a couple months until we get closer to the 1 year date. Starting early definitely has advantages and makes planning way less stressful. Congrats!!

We have a venue, catering, and photographer booked for September 2, 2022 so far! Our florist is a co-worker and friend so I think I can safely check that off the list too! I am getting lost in decorating ideas and need to re focus on the essentials since there is obviously so much left to do in this process.

My wedding is 10.22.2022 for a destination wedding! I already have the venue, photographer, makeup, florist, and wedding coordinator booked. The good ones go quick, so if they’re booking for the date, I’m all over it! Never too early to begin in making your dreams come a reality.

Our date is on 9/17/22. We were engaged in November and started planning in January. The venue, photographer, and DJ are booked. I think we’re set on colors, so I want to book the florist next, but haven’t called any yet. Have any Summer/Fall ‘22 brides booked a florist yet?

We booked our venue, florist, entertainment, makeup and hair, officiant, and photographer/videographer.

We found that some vendors were already booked for our April 2022 date surprisingly.

Never too early to start planning! We have our date, venue, and my dress...I figure with covid leading so many people having to reschedule their weddings, the earlier the better.

The venue we picked is a seasonal venue (only open in the Summer and Fall), so the pickings for 2022 were already slim when we visited them. I also didn't hesitate to dress shop early knowing that covid restrictions have affected manufacturing and sourcing timelines.

We were surprised at how many 2022 dates were already booked at the venues we liked. The venue we ended up picking is all inclusive, so all vendors are included in the price and coordinated by them. That coordination won't start until a year out (our date is in June 2022), so now we just get to sit back, relax knowing everything is in motion, and day dream about our upcoming day.

Our wedding is July 30th of 2022
We have our venue booked. We actually booked it back in August of 2020 and glad we did. With everyone pushing their weddings back, the original date we wanted for our wedding (June 25th 2022) was already booked. So we changed our date for the next month.
Especially with everything going on, I dont believe its too early to plan. Plus if you and you FH are paying for your wedding yourselves like my FH and I are, it gives us more time to budget and save up money. We do also have our photographer and DJ booked, colors picked out and our bridal and grooms parties picked out too. 2022 is now just a year away (depending on what month the wedding is in) but im honestly glad we started earlier than normal.

Honestly, there’s many many beautiful venues EVERYWHERE.
Start with a date; knowing what your budget is and how long it’ll take take for you to “get there” is a start. Divide your total budget by the number of months away your wedding date is; that’ll tell you how much money you need to budget monthly for the wedding. If it’s not feasible, for example, decrease the budget or push the wedding date back a few more months. Then, start the venue search with a general state/area and reach out to the venues to get their availability and rates. Most places will charge more for Saturday’s and Sunday’s by at least $1k.

Availability on your dates, pricing, what is included in the base venue pricing (chairs, tables, set-up), exclusivity (will there be other weddings on the property), curfew, how many guests it accommodates— these are all factors that will really help you narrow down your venue list as you are searching.
Feel free to DM me 😊

    Hello Everyone

Congratulations! My wedding is on Oct 8th, 2022 too! We got engaged on Dec 25th, 2021! We've booked the venue, a wedding planner, DJ/MC and also Photo booth so far. Our wedding is a destination wedding so we want to get an early start. I'm so happy that we booked the venue early since the venue that we wanted got booked up real quick. We are currently looking for photographers and a videographer.

It is better to be early because you can pick vendors that you really like and fit your budget.

    Congratulations everyone!

We have our date set for July 2, 2022! It will be a red white and blue theme, since our dating anniversary is 4th of July. We are having the ceremony and reception in my fiancé's mom's backyard. We have our dj, photographer, pastor, hair and make up booked and our bridal party set. We have a florist, caterer and day of coordinator picked out, just need to get deposits on them-hopefully before they book someone else. 😬 I'm starting to dress shop this summer with my girls and once our son is born in the next week we'll be starting our work outs. I'm anxious to get everyone booked so we don't lose out on who we want, since all of the 2020 weddings will be pushing some vendors out. Never too early to plan I say.
