My fiancé returns from deployment 12/21, so...no, it’s not too early. It’s something to pass the time, something positive in a rough patch.

We are keeping our things organized in storage totes! We got a bunch during the after Christmas sale (prior to being engaged) I have 4 storage totes full of things I bought or that I have been given. I also store things that aren’t breakable in moving boxes or Amazon boxes!

November 6, 2022! We have our venue booked and I've decided on color scheme and overall vibe. I just started reaching out to hairstylists because I'm very particular about what I want and want to be sure I can secure my date with someone I really like before they get booked up. I'm probably going to wait a few more months to book other vendors but I definitely don't think it can be too early with all the postponements. This way you can get the pick of the vendors you like the best!

    Thank you!

I copied and pasted that to reference. This is technically my 2nd wedding but the first (and hopefully the last, right??) one that I really care about and feel free to do what I want Smiley smile

I don’t feel that it’s too early to plan a 2022 wedding. I’m getting married in July
2022 and I want to take my time and not to feel rushed.

May 2022 checking in!. I got engaged in March last year. I didn't set a date before the pandemic hit. I've found THE dress. I've asked my bridesmaids, and I've booked hair and makeup, found a venue. I'm starting to look for bridesmaids gowns, but I'm probably not going to buy any yet.

So far we have booked our photographer and venue. Currently we are looking into DJs. This is making my mind go crazy! How much does one pay for a DJ? We are looking at 4 different ones, 2 under $1000, one around $1600, and the other $2100!! I know if we get the $2100 DJ we will be taken care of because I have seen them in action at a cousins wedding, but do I want to pay that much for a DJ when my venue was only around $3500? HELP PLEASE!

The question is how many weddings have the DJs done? Have any of them worked in your venue before? Is this a part time thing for the DJ or is it a full time job? Is a backup dj included in the price incase your main dj gets sick? Is backup equipment part of price? Has any of the DJs been unprofessional or any risk of them loosing their temper and lashing out at other venues. Will the dj act as master of ceremonies and make sure that photographer and them are on the same page so they doesn't call for the first dance and your photographer is in the bathroom? It's a lot of things to consider. The DJs we are looking at are only in our budget cause it's a weekday wedding.

We are planning and hoping for the best come 2022! Things are still booking up quickly from those who have had to reschedule so we are just moving right along. I'd rather have things set and done so we can enjoy this time as much as possible.

Well since I have had to change my day several times in the last 3 years I would have to say it’s never to early to start planning exspecially if you want to get and keep your date the first thing you should get is your venue! So far we have our venue booked for September 24th 2022, a photographer, Dj, and videographer. I made my own save the dates and will be sending them out soon. Now I am Working on booking makeup, hair, florist, catering and cake. Debating on getting a wedding planner or A Day of Coordinator.

Hey Emily! I agree with all the questions Amanda posed.
Also, the base price for most DJs seems to be around $1k.
For cocktail hour til the end of the reception, So 6 hours of entertainment, I am paying my DJ $1500 and that was actually a “splurge” for my venue as the 2 other options were $1000. So $2100 is on the way higher end, but how many hours? In addition to the music equipment, is there DJ lighting that he brings?

Just started planning and we've already run into so many obstacles! We're currently looking for a venue ( preferably outdoor ceremony and indoor reception) in Colorado.

Hey ladies! I'm getting married in June 2022 and have two questions:

    1. Flowers are not my #1 priority so I don't want to spend a ton if I don't have to, so I'm wondering if Ling's Moments (fake flowers) are cheaper than getting real?

    2. In terms of going the fake flowers route, when would it be appropriate to start buying the flowers? I'm definitely a person that likes to do things pretty early compared to most people, but also don't want to start buying them TOO early.

Thanks for any and all feedback!

Hey! If you don't mind me asking, we were looking into making our own save the dates (we were designing them on Canva to make them look like a sports event ticket), and I was wondering how you made your own? Did you print them at home, at Staples or office store, have an online company print them, etc.
