I have booked our venue (10/15/22), and I’ve started talking to photographers as many have packages to include engagement shoots. Other than that, taking things slow. Planning to start asking my bridal party, but mostly getting thoughts together!

Never too early but it took me a few months to get going.. it’s so intimidating! Just decided destination wedding is the route we’re taking, so excited to get going and make decisions 👏 2022 is coming faster than we know it.

I plan everything and I like to check things off my list early so I can enjoy time with my fiance as much as I can before the we are married. I have my venue booked, we are going for a royal and regal theme and I just bought my dress today, the next thing is to book a harpist and sample food and cake. No last minutes plans for me that will make me a bridezilla 😅

Hi Kesha, I got my dress today. And I'm wondering if by May 2022 I will be wanting a different dress 😅.

I got my dress last month and I'm getting married in June 2022. The first thing I did when I got home was to stop watching Say Yes to the Dress and unfollow all wedding gown designers on social media Smiley tongue . I refuse to let myself be tempted into buyers remorse!

Our wedding is 12-2-22! We have booked our venue, florist and photographer! We're in CA and vendors are booking up so quickly so I'm glad we started sooner rather than later! For instance, 2 florists I had reached out to are already booked for our date. We'll probably try to book our DJ and I'll start looking into hair/makeup this summer!

That is a great idea! Thanks for sharing, I may just need to unfollow all wedding gown designers on my social media as well. Smiley winking

Hey Leah, no I don’t mind you asking at all! ☺️ And I used Canva as well and I saved the image on to my computer and printed them on the clear sticker paper. I used my Cricut app to make multiple images to one page so I didn’t waste paper and just cut them out... I made wooden save the dates. I saved a ton of money doing it myself and yours sounds like it be easier then what I had to do to make mine. If your going to make them like tickets I would suggest using card stock paper and then laminating them 🙂 you can still make them a magnet as well so then your guest can put them on there fridge.. congratulations as well 💖

I already have the venue, bakery, hair stylist, photographer, and DJ booked. We also have our centerpieces designed, guest list made, bridal party chosen, tuxes and dresses picked, I ordered my shoes, flower bouquets chosen, etc. Most everything is done.

July 2022 wedding here! So far we’ve taken care of a lot of big bucket items: venue, caterer, photographer, videographer, DJ and wedding coordinator! We “proposed” to our bridal party and have an idea of our color scheme and floral decor. Next up is finding a florist and shopping for my dress! It feels great to have most big decisions out of the way already so we can really enjoy this next year without feeling rushed!

I don't think it's too early, especially with weddings being pushed back from 2020 and 2021. We booked the venue (at San Diego Zoo!), photographer, hair & makeup, and just booked the DJ for July 2022 (will probably wait on things like dress, cake and flowers). A few vendors I've talked to said they are booking up fast for 2022 already, plus it would be good to lock in prices now. I am just making sure the zoo and our other vendors have flexible COVID postponement policies, just in case COVID is still around next year (hopefully not!)

Our day is September 17, 2022! I'm having way too much fun planning and don't even care that I'm 19 months away! I am a huge planner in my normal life so I didn't think I was too early at all. There are definitely things that are tough to do so early but I definitely wanted to get my venues and major vendors booked early. We have our church booked and our reception site and then we have our photographer, videographer, DJ and photo booth booked. With so many weddings being pushed from 2020 into the next few years I didn't want to miss out on the vendors or things I wanted. My bigger issue is making sure I can pay my deposits or pay for things things early as we are still very much setting money aside each month. I very much have a vision as pretty much all I think about is wedding. My engagement ring has a ruby so I'm doing burgundy and gold as my colors and we're having most of the day be fairly traditional and classic. I'm doing most of my own decorations and flowers to save me the money in that aspect. I think there is nothing wrong with being early because I don't want to be as stressed out later.. in fact I wish I could do more right now!

As a event planner it is never to early to start planning but my husband and I are already married and so we are planning our 5 year vow renewal to be able to have enough time to get everything we want this time.

    Hi Veronicah!
I can’t say 100% that you won’t think about another dress once or twice but if you love it then I’d say you will be ok! I did I unfollow all the bridal shop pages and stop looking once I found my dress just so I was tempted. I also love the fact that while I’m looking for a venue I can picture myself in my dress at each place so that’s nice! I hope that helps!

We’ve set date for 11/11/22! Photographer booked - DJ notified (he’s a friend) talked with church that owns land we plan to have ceremony on / venue building for reception. FH is music director at the church 😂🥳 it feels so far away but ultimately I know it’s a good thing. I won’t be rushed, and I’ve started online college courses for Speech Pathology. Have fun fellow 2022 brides!!!!!!

Trying to stay on a low budget. Found a venue I’m in love with but we are yet to put the 40% deposit down...a bit reluctant because of covid and it’s non refundable

Congratulations on your engagement! I agree! I started planning as soon as we got engaged and I’m finding something to do all the time. I’m truly enjoying the planning process.
