21 Day Fix?

Natalie, on August 9, 2016 at 1:07 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 49

Okay, first off - I realized I've never officially introduced myself. I'm Natalie, my fiance and I are getting married on 10/1/2016. When we're not losing our minds planning our wedding we love to travel, go to Bears games, and try new restaurants in Chicago. FH and I both work in sales and have a cat we adopted two years ago named Mr. Peaches.

Now, that being said...why I came here! Has anyone tried the 21 Day Fix? We just wrapped up our first bridal shower (FMIL threw one) and I realized yesterday that maybe my fitness plan hasn't been going as well as I'd hoped. Has this worked? Would you recommend it?

I tried it about a year ago. I didn't even do the workouts consistently and I still lost 14 pounds.

Honestly the hardest thing about it...don't laugh...was getting used to the practice and feeling of eating ALL THE TIME. I spaced out my containers so that I was eating every 2 hours. Because of that, I was constantly digesting - which is a very weird feeling. But hey - I did lose weight!

I did it. I'm not in the greatest shape, but it allowed me to lose 10 lbs and a few inches. Just enough to make me feel more comfy in my dress, but not enough to have it refitted.

Yes I have tried the 21 day fix. sorta. I have a friend that sell the beach body stuff and she was doing a challenge. I didn't have the money to buy her stuff but she told me to get any whey protien shake and follow the meal plan that she had and of course workout. I can't do vigorous workouts because I have asthma but I did work out. Yoga is great. Anyway all and all yes it was great I lost a little weight and felt better about myself

I've done it a few times. It definitely works for me. The hardest part, I think, is fitting workouts in every single day, because that's not something I typically do. You get used to using the portioning and which foods you can/can't eat pretty quickly.

I did 3 rounds of the 21 days last year and lost 16 pounds. I just recently started it again and I'm one week in. Nothing lost yet. I agree with Danielle, it was hard getting used to eating all the time! But I think it's essential for the program to work correctly. I find the workouts easy to follow and I don't feel like I am failing if I don't do it to full capacity for those really hard exercises, and have to modify. I recommend it!

I really like the 21 day fix extreme Smiley smile I am with @Danielle on the food thing! it looks like you're going to be hungry by the looks at the containers, but in reality there were days i was so full i couldn't eat all of the food planned for that day.

The trick (like any program) is sticking with it! i got to a point though that i had to stop looking at the scale and had to go by measurements. Make sure you not only weigh yourself but also measure your arms, bust, waist, and thighs especially!

I did it last year and lost 10 pounds just in the first round! The eating was weird to get used to but I really noticed a change in my body.

I had really great results on 21DF. I agree with others that planning and prepping your meals is key! I'm actually starting the fix extreme on Monday.

Good luck, and as Autumn says, "You can do anything for one minute."

Thanks all! I think I'm going to give this a try. I've been doing Weight Watchers for the past few months and working out like crazy but my one frustration with WW is that even though I'm losing inches like crazy, I'm not "winning" on their plan because my weight is staying the same. And working out so much, I need to eat more - which doesn't really bode well for something that has daily points.

I think I'm going to give this a whirl, you've all made it sound like it works! I'll keep you posted on if I get results!! Smiley smile

I love it. FH and I each lost 10 pounds. I love 3 inches off my waist and 6 inches from each thigh (and I've kept it all off for over a month). I started as a size 16 and I'm now a size 14. We're starting round 2 tonight actually.

@Natalie I definitely understand your frustration with weight watchers in terms of pounds vs. inches, but don't forget that you can eat activity points that you earn! So if you're working out like crazy, you should have extra points to eat a little more to keep fueling your body.

Does anyone ever start an accountability thread on here? It really helps to do it with friends - you get recipe ideas, get to gripe when it's tough to keep going...

I did 3 rounds of it last spring and it does work. I lost 18 pounds pretty easily and toned up. The Shakeology is expensive and something I get bored of very quickly.

Hey everyone, where did you purchase the 21 day fix? I've seen the containers at Wal-Mart, but not the meal plan or workout plan.

    I bought it!

@amberini22 - just go to www.beachbody.com and select the 21 Day Fix.

I had to laugh when I was checking out with all of the "free" add-on's they try to give you!

    Fingers crossed that it works!
