Okay, first off - I realized I've never officially introduced myself. I'm Natalie, my fiance and I are getting married on 10/1/2016. When we're not losing our minds planning our wedding we love to travel, go to Bears games, and try new restaurants in Chicago. FH and I both work in sales and have a cat we adopted two years ago named Mr. Peaches.

Now, that being said...why I came here! Has anyone tried the 21 Day Fix? We just wrapped up our first bridal shower (FMIL threw one) and I realized yesterday that maybe my fitness plan hasn't been going as well as I'd hoped. Has this worked? Would you recommend it?

I honestly couldn't make it past the first video and was sore for a week. I did yoga instead.

My mantra for all workouts when they get painful lately has been, "Pictures last forever!"

My issue with this and anything else including eating better and working out, is discipline. I have none. I mean zero! I set a goal to lose X amount of inches/pounds back in April. A little more than 3 months to go and I think I've maybe lost 1 pound.

    One. Effin. Pound.

I say all this as I am sitting in Panera eating corn chowder from a bread bowl....

It's okay, @LadyPearl, I was eating a bag of Skittles when I originally started this discussion!

I started with the 21 day fix (which I am coach now) but I think its a very simple workout plan. I was already in working out so I had a routine down for that. The containers do look really small but in reality they're not. I am still on the same eating plan and still cannot eat as much as they tell you to, it a lot of food! but overall, i love it. It got me off of my plateau

My mom did it (a few times. She's also done the extreme version) and she's lost like 40 pounds combined from all the times she's done it. Yeah, it works. The containers also help establish healthy portion sizes.

I have done 1 round of 21 day fix and I loved it! I lost 5 pounds (I would like to drop 15 in total) and lost 5 inches mostly on my thighs which was my problem spot. I also have much better definition in my arms. I loved that it reset my eating habits to eat more of the right foods and in the right portions. I really enjoyed to workouts too. I will be starting another fix in a couple of weeks.

Wanted to add that I didn't do the shakes. I can't have caffeine (gives me migraines) and I still had a lot of success. My FH and I do it together, prep all of our foods on Sunday. We love it.

A couple little hints to anyone who hasn't done it - snack sized bags from ziplock are the same size as a fruit/veggie serving.

If you're doing it with a partner try to keep your servings the same, we each eat our blue and orange containers at lunch so I'm not worried about who gets what at dinner.

I did it for 9 months before my wedding and lost 50 lbs. Since the wedding, I have been working out but cheating on the meal plan a bit and have pretty much maintained. I plan to do it more strictly again after a labor day trip and am hoping to drop another 20 lbs.

Hi Natalie! I also live in Chicago now (over a year now) and FH and I adopted a cat named Gretchen last August. Great minds think a like! Anyway, I have not done the 21 day challenge, but I have to do things fast, because I'm definitely not exactly where I want to be right now, and my wedding is coming up.

Hi Natalie and Welcome! I have not personally completed the 21DF, but I have heard great things about it. I have done the Insanity program and also Insanity Max 30 along with balanced, healthy eating and had great results! Also, I always follow Lauren Gleisberg (google her)... she has great workout challenges and meal plans and we have a great support community. Good luck!

Done multiple rounds and still doing it. Yes it works. But eating clean and doing the workouts are so important.

I've done it and it is honestly the easiest program out there. I'm on the smaller side, but definitely still have weight to lose. I'm 5'6", was 142 pounds and at the end I got down to 133. I've since gained it back because I just completely ate like shit this summer, but I kept the weight off for about 6 months. Going to start it up again when I go back to teaching (no snack temptations).

I hate people that push programs, but this one is great because it teaches portion control and good eating habits. Just make sure you do the workouts every day! Toward the middle of the program I went like 4 days and skipped the workouts...I'm hoping when I start it again in September I will follow the program EXACTLY. Good luck!

Thanks for posting this! I'm going to order it today. I've been trying to get back into a routine and I think this will be great especially with school starting back up in a few weeks.

My best friend did it for her wedding and lost 12 lbs, and she was tiny before too. She doesn't follow it anymore though and gained most of it back. But I think it's a good quick fix!

It is seriously one of the only programs I could actually stick with. And knowing that I get results from it really helps as well! Currently I am doing crossfit 3-4 times a week and following the 21DFX meal plan and having one cheat day a week. I really need to do another complete round though and kick my results into gear! I know my wedding is a year away, but they say it takes about a year of a lifestyle change to see results. I really want to get to the point where I have a faint 6 pack and baby bicep muscles, but FH thinks muscles are "gross" but oh well. With as much pizza as I eat, surely I won't have a problem becoming too muscular lol. But it is really a great program and easier to stick with than some other programs. Anyone can do anything for 21 days. The hardest part is not binging and going crazy. Continue to eat healthy and workout and the results will stick and improve! With your wedding coming up, you could totally do 2-3 rounds in a row and you will see insane results if you just stick it out!
