2K All Inclusive Honeymoon???

Jennifer, on January 22, 2013 at 11:47 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 27

The FH and I are paying for the entire wedding ourselves. With a new house payment and a wedding to pay for money is tight for our honeymoon.

Is a 6 night all inclusive honeymoon even possible with a 2K budget?? Or am I living in dream land?? Smiley smile

My dream is to stay in a swim-up room...will my dream have to wait a few years after the wedding??

Have you looked into Couples Resorts? They seem to be pretty affordable and I've seen rave reviews from other WW brides who went there.

Depending on how much the tickets are, you could probably find something like this:

    http://www.groupon.com/deals/ga-be-live-hamaca-suites?c=all&p=10

    or

    http://www.groupon.com/deals/ga-blackbird-caye-resort-3?c=all&p=12

or check out last minute deals here:

No its not a dream, my honeymoon is 6 nights all inclusive for $2000 and that includes travelers insurance. we are going to cancun mexico. we used travelocity then took it to a local travel agent that matches the price and takes off an additional 10%

I'm going on a 4 night trip, all inclusive to an adults only resort in Punta Cana and I'm paying about $2K so I think it is doable for you.

SoontoBeMrs.B where did you find that deal? That sounds great. I'm trying to find something that's all inclusive as well.

I think you can do it on a 2k budget, but how easy that would be to do depends on where you are located. Late October is usually low-season for airfare, and for cheap stays in addition to the sites mentioned above like Groupon, Living Social, Travelzoo deals, etc, there's also nice rentals on airbnb.com sometimes. If you are on the East coast and can get cheap airfare, there's some great pads on Airbnb in Europe. There are plenty of all inclusive deals in the Caribbean islands as well, but do some research beforehand - if I remember correctly, I think oct/nov is hurricane season and probably not the best time to be there. Good luck!

We are in the same boat as you guys. Between paying for the wedding, a mortgage, and everything else an expensive honeymoon isn’t in our budget. I’ve been also trying to keep it at around 2k and would prefer under that. I’ve been looking into Cancun. I’ve been seeing deals between $1400-$2000 where you get to stay at an all-inclusive nice resort and flights are included. These are quotes from flying out of LAX in September. It’s worth checking out!

We are on the same page, paying for wedding and having a vacant rental property that we pay plus our house payment and we transitioned into different jobs. Trying to find a warm beach to go to but have fun too. We thought about Jamacia.

I have been researching non-stop. I am determined to find something. We would like to keep it under $2000 as well so we can have some money to spend while we are there. Hopefully we can all find a great deal. I will keep researching and let y'all know if I find any good deals anywhere!! Good Luck Ladies!!

Im in the same boat, hoping tax money will cover honeymoon, so I dont have to cut it all too close and some can sit in savings.... I need a nice warm beach, all inclusive out of st louis, you can find some on groupon, living social, look at apple vacations and travelocity

Smiley smile also play with departure dates, sometimes if you leave say on a thurs your flight could be half the price (or at least it was when I went to pittsburgh)

I'm not sure what part of the country you live in, but my Husband and I were in the same boat and wanted to keep it around $2000 since we had just bought a house and were paying for our wedding too!

We went to Cozumel in Mexico and it was SO wonderful! SO tropical!!! We went 5 nights, 6 days and it was the perfect amount of time!

Cozumel is a small island in the Caribbean sea. It's very relaxed and not a party spot like Cancun. Here is a picture from our trip!! Let me know if you want any other details on our trip!!

Forgot to mention it was ALL INCLUSIVE so ALL food and ALL drinks were covered! We came in at $2100 for the whole trip including some dinners away from the hotel and some fun stuff like swimming with dolphins and a dune buggy tour!

Jennifer our honeymoon was AMAZING! I would really look into this resort! The staff was the best and they were one of the only resorts on the island that had the amazing snorkeling right off the beach!!! Many others didn't have the snorkle spots and you had to drive over somewhere! We found this out when we got to the island! This hotel offers free snorkel equipment and that is how we started off each day!!

Here is another picture!! Can't beat free drinks by the pool with your new husband!! It's the best!
