I just got married 2 weeks ago and bought a wedding dress and another white dress to change into for the after party, but because I was having so much fun and my dress was so comfortable I never ended up wearing it. You only get to wear your wedding dress for a few hours so I say wear it as long as you can.

I absolutely adore my wedding dress and want to wear it every second I can!! We might even do a photo shoot around ATL in our dresses after the honeymoon. To get some cool shots and to wear the dress again of course! To each their own ☺️

I'm wearing mine for both. A lot of people talk about "being comfortable," but to be honest, I feel most comfortable in stilettos, full hair and makeup, and a dime of an outfit........ so there we have it. Smiley tongue

I will be wearing my dress for both! I love my dress and it was over my parent budget so I feel bad not wearing it all night getting the most of it.

I'm still debating on this. A part of me wants to wear my ceremony dress for the whole day since... Hello... expensive. Lol I want to feel like I got the most use out of it you know? But then again I also want to be able to move around a little more comfortably and dance. Also I've been to so many weddings and have seen people step on the brides dress during the reception and tear it or something and that terrifies me with literally the most expensive piece of clothing i've ever owned. I did buy a potential reception dress on Lulus just in case, I figured if i don't end up deciding to wear it for the reception I could wear it for the rehearsal dinner or something?

I wore my wedding dress for the ceremony and then I changed into a second dress for the reception. I was skeptical at first if I should do it or not but I am so happy that I did!! The reception dress was a lighter more moveable dress and I actually ended up liking my second dress even more than the wedding dress!

I LOVE my dress, and after spending close to $1000 on the dress, veil, crinoline, and alterations, I wouldn’t want another dress anyway! The way I see it, I only get to wear a wedding dress once, so why wouldn’t I want to wear it as long as possible?
That said, if it’s in your budget and it’s something you want to do, go for it! The day is all about you and FH, so making sure you are happy is what matters most. Don’t pay too much attention to what others think 😊

My previous wedding I actually had a second dress. I LOVED my first one but letting loose and dancing wasn't that easy in it lol So half way through the reception I changed into a second dress that was much better for dancing the night away. I also ditched my heels shortly after that lol

No way. Same dress for the whole day/ night. I worked really hard to find the perfect combination of affordable/ beautiful/ classy/ comfortable. Personally don't understand the trend of changing AT ALL. My dress is gorgeous and it's so comfortable, I can do squats in it. Same dress all the way.

I just bought a second dress, just because I'm not sure how well my first one will hold a bustle. That's honestly the only reason. I'm not planning on a lot of dancing, but I don't want people stepping on my train all night, or having it tear out.

I will be keeping my dress on for the reception. I love my dress and it's super comfortable. I will however, be adding my jean jacket for the reception, after the formal photos are finished.
