2pm Ceremony Time

Amanda, on February 12, 2019 at 2:25 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8

Hi there everyone!

Our wedding is starting at 2pm (me walking down the isle at like 2:05pm) Can anyone give me some advice and a wedding timeline?? We are getting married in a church, and having the small reception there as well. I hoping everything will be done by 6-6:30pm. We are going to have cake, fruit trays, veggie trays, water, tea, ect. No full meal because we are saving that money for the honeymoon to Sedona Arizona (yay!) Any help would be appreciated.

We will not be having a cock tail hour because the ceremony and (small) reception is going to be at a church. This is what I have so far..

9 a.m. - Gather all of the bridesmaids at the church and start the day with a light breakfast and give bridesmaid gifts.

10 a.m. – Start on Bridal hair while the girls are getting ready.

12 p.m. - Start bridal makeup and all of the girl’s help each other out with their hair. PHOTOGRAPHER NEEDS TO BE THERE BY NOW!

12:30 p.m – Photographer makes his way to the groom/groomsmen to take pictures.

1:15 p.m. – Final touches on hair, makeup, dresses.

1:50 p.m. – Bridesmaids line up and ready for their entrance to sanctuary

1:50 p.m. – Groom and groomsmen take their place at the ceremony alter

    2:00 p.m. – Ceremony starts with bridesmaids

2:05 p.m. – Enter the bride and her father.

2:40 p.m. – End ceremony, begin formal family photos

3:00 p.m. – Mingling with guests, snacking, writing in guest book, etc.

3:45 p.m. – Introduction of bridesmaids/groomsmen then entrance of bride and groom.

    4:15 p.m. – Toasts and speeches

    4:30 p.m. – First dances

5:30 p.m. – Cake cutting, snack time, garter toss/bouquet toss.

    6:00 p.m. – Mingling and thank you’s.

7:00 p.m. – final song and send off.

If no meal will be served I would try to wrap everything up by 5. If it extends into dinner time people will be expecting dinner. I can’t tell from what you already have when you expect family photos to be done? After that I would get introduced, do your first dance immediately, then cut the cake and do the toasts. Are you having dancing for everyone or just first dances?

The family photos will be right after the ceremony (2:40-2:45pm) There is a foyer in the church that everyone can mingle, sign the guestbook and get refreshments while we take the photos in the sanctuary. I don't think we will have any dancing except for the first dances (ours and father of the bride/bride). I feel clueless lol

How did this time line work out for you? I have been struggling to make a time line every time i write it out someone looks at it and says it wont work and I'm not giving us enough time. Idk how else to space things out to give us more time with our ceremony starting at 2pm. Everything will be taking place at the same location, ceremony, pictures, reception, dinner.
