Ladies,
it's only three days. Where has all the time gone?
I have been super stressed for most of the planning process. Finally it's getting better (except for my car dying on Monday - who needs that 5 days before wedding???) but as of today I am officially nervous - butterflies and all. Oh, my gosh, I am getting married!!! I am so excited and happy.
I am also nervous if everything will come together and work out. We are completely diy-ing a 90-guests-backyard-wedding (not our backyard - but our church's, so facilities like bathrooms and kitchen are available). Our only two professional vendors are the photographer and the company we rent chairs from. But we have some incredibly talented and generous friends. All the naysayers please don't say anything - I know all the reasons why people warn against frendors and DIY. I am confident our situation is different and it will work out great (and I really hope I'll still say that in a week) but still I am nervous if I really thought of everything or overlooked anything (though I am pretty organized).
Just needed to share this with someone this morning. And wanted to share some pictures of all my DIY projects. Because I am so excited and a little proud of what I've accomplished. And maybe they can inspire some other low budget DIY brides. There is more stuff (kids coloring book, signs, alternative guestbook, snacks ...) that I don't have pictures of yet. I took the names out of all the pictures because of privacy and our names are pretty unusual. The arch and the cake swing were made and decorated by amazing friends who really really wanted to do this (neither was important to me but now I am absolutely in love and so grateful).
I'll post pictures of the wedding - just can't promise how soon. :-)
