Hey! So I am at the three month mark and need to get my butt in gear. I was thinking of doing the barre three month bridal thing but seeing as I know nothing about fitness figured I would through it out to the group.

What is the best way to slim down and tone up for the big day? (can't really bulk up because my dress is already tight). I was thinking barre, kickboxing, crossfit ? I have no idea but I need something that holds me accountable (working out at home does not work). Any ideas or personal experiences are greatly appreciated Smiley laugh

Zumba! It's fun and high-energy so you actually want to do it and since it's dancing you don't really notice that your working out. There are DVDs (I used them, highly recommend), but there should also be tons of live classes in your area.

Everyone is spot on about food! That's the most important thing. I walked into the training facility and the trainer asked me what do I want do. I immediately said lose weight. He said okay but you I don't suggest you losing a lot of weight. You are already somewhat lean but problem area is midsection. Do we are focused on losing inches from around the waist area, burning fat. Some weight loss. I think everyone's goal is different. Weight loss maybe ideal for some or fat loss/loss inches maybe the way to go.

    Good luck chica

I did Barre for 6 months and went 4 times a week as well as walked miles a day and rode my bike. I did not notice any changes other than being more flexible.

Now I crossfit. I go 3 days a week, still walk and ride. I am down 20 lbs and 3 sizes. As well as firm.

I would Crossfit if I were you with a day or two of Yoga.

Ahh so many date twins in here! I am officially starting on our diet and we have been back at the gym a few times a week. I'm hoping it will be enough to drop a few pounds and tone. Just remember only take on as much as you can handle and remember your goal is a wedding which helps make the work outs easier!

Biking really helps!! I usually just workout, do various workouts at the gym (arms, leg day, run, etc) with FH and we do biking. We are starting cross fit and I heard it helps!

I've been doing a mix of HIIT classes, Zumba and other dance classes for cardio. Lost 5 pounds in the last 3 weeks. Gonna add some yoga to the mix too. Joining a gym with a large variety of classes helped a LOT.

It's summer. Go to the beach or start by walking. I know I need to do these things too but find myself lacking motivation and instead enjoying all that summer has to offer especially beer and ICE CREAM! I have 60 days. SIXTY! I think I am going to attempt to start by doing Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. It's 25 minutes and I can at least spare that everyday from now until wedding day.

CrossFit is perfect for anyone wanting to get in really good shape for the big day. It's great for guys and girls. I've been doing it about two years. I would recommend doing the cardio session each day before doing the daily WOD. This works well for burning fat and adding those long lean muscles before the wedding. The really cool thing about CrossFit is you get to choose between cardio and strength each day before doing the group WOD. Leading up to the wedding I would stick with cardio which will including things like running, rowing, jump ropes, box jumps, some wall balls, etc. I would also talk to your CrossFit coach and go with a Zone or Paleo type diet to really shed the fat and unwanted pounds. Drink lots of water! Here is a cool article I found using CrossFit to get ready for the big day! http://crossrx.com/crossfit-exercise-before-wedding-day
