30 Day Shred!!

Hey ladies

So my maid of honor and I are doing the 30 day shred (Jillian Michaels) and I am liking it so far. We are only a few days in but it seems to be a great workout that could get me some great results. Have any of you tried it or doing it now? Did you have good results? and tips? I have trouble sticking to things so I could use some encouragement that it worked for other people!

    I tried it years ago and liked it but I never stick with anything ugh!! Good luck with it.

    Never tried JM shred. But if you have 8+ weeks to commitment then BBG by Kayla will do wonders!

    I have tried 30 day shred - I lost about 8 pounds doing that a couple of years back and watching my food intake - but there wasn't a good transition for after the 30 day challenge with that program which meant I really didn't stay with it. Stick with the 30 day challenge but I wish I had a plan of what we were going to do after so I didn't just drop it.

    I have done it a bunch of times but never for 30 days straight. It's a great workout that's for sure. JM has tons of workouts. Maybe mix in some different ones so you don't get bored. I was looking at her yoga last night. There are two but I'm not sure which is better.

    30 days is enough to sort of get you started.

    But if you have a hard time sticking with 30 days you need some sort of other outside mindset evaluation/reset.

    To do a real body recomp requires a year- really 2-4 depending on your goals.

    30 days is sort of a "dent" in the process- but it's not going to get you what I suspect you really want.

    I've done 30 Day Shred many times over the years. If I only have a short window to workout during the day I'll pop one in and do it. I prefer Level 3 (hated the level 2). Have you been in the habit of working out or is this new for you? What about nutrition - are you changing that up to? If you are new to an exercise program you will certainly see results if you are committed to it.

    The FH and I did the Low carb thing in Feb and he lost 30 and I lost 25. It was really fun coming up with new meal plans with no bread, pasta, or sugars. We started another month of it this week and are hoping for another great month.

    I just bought that same DVD but haven't tried it. I think it's too late for me to get it done before the wedding as my wedding is literally one month from today lol I'll do it after the wedding tho.
