30 Days till Wedding - Do's and Donts

Lady1722, on February 7, 2018 at 9:07 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 33

Fellow Brides!! I am officially inside of my 30 days until the wedding and Im trying to make a list of things I need to do to make be feel the best and look the best on my wedding day.

How are you ladies getting or planning to get ready for the big day in your last month? I need help with everything from how far out to schedule a hair cut to what I should be eating/or not eating! What are you last 30 days must do's and dont's??

I do need to lose these last 8-10 pounds. I need a hair cut. I need to get my nails done. (Still not sure what I want to do there!) I scheduled a teeth cleaning but what about teeth whitening? Tanning? How long before the wedding should I schedule these things so I don't stress about it so much on the big day?

Please help!

I’m 23 days out. I just started a teeth whitening regime today. I get my hair done (cut and color) Saturday as well as a trial run for my nails.

im trying to lose a little bit of weight too so I’m limiting the carbs, but definitely not eating fried, salty or greasy food (it messes with my skin too). Clean eating only and I’m trying to drink a lot of water! I’m doing facial mud masks 2x a week to try to minimize my pores.

I’m not getting a spray tan but I’d imagine the trial window for that has passed? Not sure.

10 pounds is a bit much to drop at this point unless you have a seamstress on deck to take up your wedding dress. I swear by the crest brilliant white strips paired with tooth paste and the mouth wash but stay away from tea, coffee and sodas. Hair cut should have been done a few months prior as well if you were going for a new look on your day incase you didn't like it, better get with your hair stylist on that question. Nails are best done day of no later than day before. Your check list should normally include final dress fitting, checking on vendors and planners to ensure everyone's on board with your expectations for the big day. Relax and know that regardless of what happens you'll be marrying the love of your life and no matter what you will be beautiful😁Hope this helps

Yeap it's probably not best time to get a spray tan. Lol!
I didn't think about minimizing pore routine. That's a great idea!! Same for trial run for nails. I'll be scheduling this too.
What are you doing for teeth whitening?

I'm 16 days out and doing a spray tan.

My MUA is doing my spray tan and she recommended two days prior, because it has extended release and by day 3 (wedding day) it'll be the perfect color.

I cut my hair a while ago and went with a new look. I just need to trim it now but want to make sure with the trim I can still style it the way I want too.
I'm really just toning this month and probably will only lose about 5 pounds but I want to mainly have my arms toned since they are the most exposed. So that's my focus this month. I just want to really watch what I eat as well. Very clean.
I'm on everything else. I was just wondering about persona care and what everyone was focusing on for the last 30 days.
I'll def stay away from coffee and tea when I whiten. Thank you for that tip!!

I’ve been wearing masks with cocoa and shea butter, using a coconut oil and cleaning face with baking soda and witch hazel. Teeth whitened with charcoal as well, have been and tried oil pulling as well. I’m scheduling a spa day close to the wedding, full service, and hair will be the morning of.

My date is about 7 months away, but FH and I started using Sunday Riley’s Good Genes to clear up our skin. I would also advise against eating/drinking any dairy or sugar, as they can case breakouts.

    Good luck and congratulations!!

8-10 lbs in a month might be tough. 5 is more realistic. Drink lots and lots of water (this will also help skin look great!) limit salt, alcohol, and carbs.

You don't know how much she weighs now, so it's impossible to say what is realistic or not

Schedule a trim like now, so that way if something happens and it turns out not like you're wanting, you have time to take action to fix it.

Teeth whitening, I use the 3D Crest ones and they work super well! I would start that this week or next week and do it once a week until the wedding.

Tanning: bed or spray? If you go to the beds and have done this before, just start off a lower time and work your way up. With the spray you should get a trial like TODAY if you can and again, start small. I scared of the spray tans haha

I checked that out on Amazon, but I don't understand how to use it on teeth. Do you just put the powder on your teeth and let it sit for a certain about of time? Or mix it with toothpaste?

Not from experience...but what I've been reading:

    - Get a hair cut about 2 weeks before
    - Probably get nails done a day or two before (depends on how much you work with your hands/what kind of polish you get)

    - Start teeth whitening 20 days before or so
    - There are tons of lists of foods to avoid before your wedding you can find online...it all depends on what affects you (if any foods make you bloat, I'd avoid those)

    From experience:
    - I recently lost 10 pounds in 15 days just by limiting sugar and cutting out alcohol completely. (Some people cut out fruits when they cut out sugar...don't do that. Limit them, but still enjoy them. I try to keep foods under 8g of sugar per serving.) I couldn't exercise due to injury, so I know it was just because of my eating habits. I used MyFitnessPal to track calories I was eating and it was able to suggest how many calories to lose weight.
    - If you can't lose the weight, don't stress too much, you'll be a beautiful bride regardless Smiley smile

Charcoal is great for teeth, but I agree. Use caution while opening. It's still in my carpet. I'll do my nails the day before the wedding. Also following this thread to see comments. I'm having a hard time figuring out when to book my hair and makeup.

I colored my hair two weeks before, and had my nails and waxed the day before. For the wax the lady put neosporin right after and that helped if any itching or redness; I had no redness the next day. That was the extent of it. I did do lots of mental exercises ( I was in therapy for social anxiety disorder) to be calm and happy and was totally zen on my wedding day.

Patty, I brush with the charcoal, then rinse. Then brush again with toothpaste just to be sure that I got all the charcoal out. Lol
