4 speeches?

For those that had two best men and two maid/matron(s) of honor, did you have 4 speeches made at the wedding? Do you think it seemed to drag on for your guests?

My fiance has two bestmen and they're friends so they're going to somehow do the speech together. You can always give them a timeframe for the speech to limit how long they go on.

We had 4 speeches - bride’s parents, groom’s parents, Maid of Honor and Best Man - and a short prayer before dinner. We chose to limit each speech to 5 minutes and I thought it hit the sweet spot of giving those people the chance to say what they want to say, but it not being too long for the guests.

We didn't, but I was in a wedding with 2 MOHs. They wrote their speeches together & split them up, so they were still normal length (2-4 minutes).

My maid and matron of honor did their toast together. Each talked for half of it but it was still a normal length.

Daughter and SIL had two of each, but both sets (2 best men and 2 MOHs) gave their speeches/toasts as a pair. FOB also gave the welcome toast. All were given a 3-minute MAXIMUM time limit (so each pair had 3 minutes total). The MOHs wrote theirs together and went back and forth until one of them got a bit too choked up, so the other finished. The guys each gave their own remarks, but stayed within the time limit. After they were all done, daughter and SIL responded, and SIL did the talking for the two of them. FOB's welcome/toast was first, right after the grand entrance and 1st dance. The others followed, as the salads were being served. I'm sure I'm biased, but I don't think they dragged. Watching the video, people were engaged, laughing and applauding. I teach public speaking -- keep them short and describe them as "toasts" not "speeches"! Good luck!

We had three speeches and then a prayer. My brother gave a speech and is the one that did a prayer so his was last so he went from the speech directly into the prayer. It was good and everyone was fine with it. I would give everyone a time limit that way it isn't too long.
