Im will JoAnna M., exercising is an excellent tool but eating the right foods will take you to where you want to be. I started my weight lost journey the 2nd week in January weighing in at 184 lbs. and today I weigh 159 lbs. I am 5'7 so my weight looks good on me but I would like to be between 150-155 before my wedding so when I go on our Honeymoon, I will have leave way if I should put on a couple of pounds!!!! But I strongly recommend changing your workout regiment every 3 to 4 weeks and make sure you are incorporating intervals and weights. I know we can do it!!!!

B12 shots? Where would you get those? Do they work?

I'd like to shed about 15 by mid summer.

Anyone tried the Raspberry Ketones that Dr. Oz was raving about on his show? Supposedly they really help you to lose weight in addition to diet and exercise.

Aimee- your doctor can give you B12 shots, but they are rarely covered by insurance. I had some for health reasons, they cost about $200 a shot.

B12 boosts your energy levels and immune system. You can get B12 supplements at your local grocery store. My doc strongly recommends the sublinguals. And it stays in your system, versus the monthly shots that wear off faster.

Just make sure you take them first thing in the morning, and don't take too many. Overdose can make you jittery. But expect severe caffiene like symptoms as you get started on them.

I used to recommend lemon water until I developed a kidney stone. Apparently, too much lemon causes kidney stones.

I have battled the weight issue my entire life and the best things that have worked is portion control. Also, if I have a craving for chocolate, I allow myself one Hershey kiss. This way I don't totally fall of the wagon and pig out on the suckers. For some reason, when I taboo something, I want it even more.

    Good luck ladies!

Meghan B, it's healthy to lose 1-2 lbs a week and if I lose 2 lbs a week I'll be down 32lbs in 4 months (actually I have about 4.5 months), how is that an unrealistic goal?

If you go on groupon some have the b12 shots cheaper. I would not do alot of them, because like fat burners your body will react if you take too many. My coworker looks great, and i think one or two shots would do it for me plus eating right and some exercise. I've never seen them for that expensive. You can also do b12 vitamin pill but doesnt work that fast...

I would like to loose some weight too, I don't know how much because scales are not my friends. I am focusing more on inches, I have lost 2 inches in about a month, I would like to keep this pattern up.

Log, log, log your calories. I suggest finding the recommended calorie intake for goal weight and eat enough calories that would maintain that weight. For the average woman that means about **** calories a day. Eating ENOUGH is the best way to keep your metabolism in full force! That's how I lost all my weight and keep it off. I suggest thedailyplate.com for calorie logging.

I have been working out for 3 hours a day 5-6 days a week since Jan 1. I stayed away from the scale because I can become obsesive with it. I am feeling great! Four more months till my wedding day. I would like to lose 15-20 lbs by August!

I agree with going about this the healthy way. It's been my experience with multiple different diets that I lose weight temporarily, then gain it all back plus some very quickly.

I instead changed my lifestyle back in December and have lost 26 lbs so far. It's extremely empowering to take control of your health. I work out 5-7 days/week and eat healthy now. I've found keeping track of my food and working out daily using an app on my phone called myfitnesspal has helped tremendously. (it's also a website online) Also, I've found a ton of great healthy recipes on a website called skinnytaste.com which gives a ton of very tasty options for cooking low fat/low calorie meals.

Meghan has a good point...don't just focus on pounds, but also how you feel and measure inches. There have been mulitiple weeks I didn't lose weight, but lost inches all over. It still feels amazing when you see results that way too!

    Good luck! :-)

I need to get on the bandwagon. All I do is talk about loosing weight and what I can do but I havent been too proactive about it. I think mainly because the gym I want to attend is 40 per month and Im like...ugh, yet another bill (MY EXCUSE)! I will definately figure something out because Ive packed on the lbs in the last 2 years about 50+ I need to get it together FAST!

I started getting back into my work out routine this week and I already feel so much better and more motivated. I am hitting up Zumba tonight! My goal is to just live a healthier lifestyle and with that I know my body will improve!

What really helped weight drop off of me was completely cutting out over-processed foods (Lean Cuisine is part of that for me!), added sugar (e.g. no juice or soda -- not even diet!, no sugar in my tea/coffee, no candy, etc.) and all meats. I also had to really train myself to only eat when I'm hungry - not an easy task for someone so prone to snacking.

Black beans, chickpeas, quinoa, and TONS of water with my meals help keep me feeling full all the time. It's worked like a charm for me.

Try to eat healthy, my personal trainer says 70% of weight loss success is what you eat, 15% workout and 15% resting. Something that works wonders for me is not eating carbs at dinner, only proteins and veggies.

Most of my weightloss has come from eating well and making sure to eat no more than **** a day with cardio every other day.. I used to spend about 3 hours in the gym about 6 days a week and I wasn't taking care enough just to watch my calories. Although I lost a bunch of weight, it took a while for me to get there because I was relying soley on exercise.. now I've lost 8 lbs in 1 month.. I'm not really losing it for the wedding, I'm just trying to get back to a decent size (and maybe get to the weight listed on my driver's license)! I'm using SparkPeople.com (they have an app on the phone that I use) as a tool to keep me on track and I've been taking my dogs out with me to exercise since they put on some lbs too! They have lost 5 and 7lbs, which is quite a bit for our little four legged friends! Smiley smile My clothes are starting to feel baggy, which is GREAT!

Anyway.. best advice, just try to stay nice & healthy for yourself & don't stress about your weight, just make sure the dress fits

Move continuously; seriously! I took my desk chair out of my office, and I stand or march in place all day long. You should aim for at least 10,000 steps a day; more if you can.
