5 days to go! I can't believe it. I am working today & tomorrow, then taking off Wednesday-Friday. Thursday we head down to our blocked hotel in Denver and stay until our wedding on Saturday! Yay!
This weekend I did a lash lift & tint, O2 facial, and dermaplaning on Saturday. On Sunday, I did a sugar body scrub & hot oil scalp treatment.
O2 Facial: Made my face itch a lot. That's the point since it's bubbling a ton and oxygenating, but it was uncomfortable for about 10 minutes. I'm not sure if it helped a ton, but it was nice to do something good for my skin in addition to my at home routine.
Dermplaning: YES. I love it. My skin looks so much brighter and exfoliated, and I love not having any hair at all on my face! My hair on my face is light light blonde so not noticeable but my face feels SO smooth now.
Lash Lift and Tint: Tint? Yes. Lift? NO. I had never got one before, so I know it was risky doing it so close to the wedding. One side reacted great! The other side? Half curled way too much and the other half not at all. I went home and washed my eyes with lukewarm water, and combed coconut oil through my lashes. The next morning? Still not good. I called my lady and she got me in immediately to get them fixed. She combed relaxer through them and re-tinted them. I love the tint, it's so great looking like you have mascara on. The lift is barely noticeable, but I'm okay with that since they fixed my lashes. All and all, I'll do a tint again but not a lift. I used Babe Lash for growth and that has been amazing.
Sugar Scrub: Not sure this is worth it. I went to Spavia and it only cost $50, but it was weird. Basically someone rubbing scrub on you then washing it off with coconut milk, kind of a giant mess. It wasn't relaxing or like a massage. I feel like I accomplish the same thing doing it myself in the shower.
Hot Oil Scalp Treatment: I liked the scalp rub obviously, and my hair was SUPER soft after. I probably could have accomplished this by putting coconut oil in my hair and a hot towel at home.
All in all, I'm happy I did all of them & tried them out. You only get married once so you might as well treat yourself before the big day! I did a lot of facial treatments prior to this too, so I'm very happy with where my skin is at. I put hyaluronic acid on my face every night and it's been amazing. I have eye masks, a lip mask, and a hydrating mask to do the night before the wedding. I have a hair mask, I'll probably do that Wednesday night. On Thursday morning I'm going with 3 bridesmaids, flower girl, and my fiance's stepmother to get our nails done. Other than that, I'm just finalizing little things & doing last minute errands & packing for our honeymoon!
