Less than 5 months out from out wedding and I was just diagnosed with Endometriosis AND Interstitial Cystitis. Two of the biggest things to help "manage" pain symptoms are a stress free environment & diet..

How do you do that when you're planning a wedding?!
Anyone else struggling with these? Not only am I trying to figure out what works best for me and get my health "under control", I'm also trying to lose weight and plan a wedding.... I'm dizzy all of the time from stress. Between work, doctors, health issues, money, and wedding details, idk what to do...

Any one else in these fights with me?

My only advice to you is to get the endometriosis removed! Diet and stress free won’t help with that unfortunately! I have endo and getting it removed was the best decision!

Deep breaths! I found out that I was type 2 diabetic a few months before we got engaged, and one of the main things that can spike blood sugar is stress. Honestly, you need to make sure you're planning the wedding on your terms. If you want to lose weight, cutting sugar is a good start - I stopped drinking soda and watch my carbs - and when I get stressed I used to stress eat. Now instead of grabbing a burger and fries when I get stressed out, I have to make myself eat a sandwich and chips. Figure out what happens when your stress gets triggered and try to watch for that. I found that listening to a meditation app helped me calm down when my anxiety got the better of me. Good luck! You got this!

I didn't know till well after the wedding, but I had severe endometriosis. If you can get your health insurance on board, I'd definitely ask to see an OBGYN who specializes in endometriosis treatment. Mine was diagnosed a million years ago, but at the time the best "management strategy" was bc pills to keep the endo tissue from growing on a monthly cycle. Ultimately, I had laser surgery to remove/reduce the significant tissue that encased my ovaries and had spread throughout my abdominal cavity after a cyst ruptured, but there were major repercussions on my fertility. Ultimately, it took us 8 years to get pregnant, and very shortly after our daughter was born, I was in full menopause because the endo treatment had destroyed most of my ovaries. I would definitely do everything you can to work with a specialist to help alleviate your current symptoms and preserve your fertility, if you want to have children. Good luck to you! (I'd probably also look for a support group, if you're struggling with your condition and diagnosis.) Smiley heart
