50 days out… feeling down about my goals/fitting

Rue, on August 17, 2021 at 1:20 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 7
Hi all,

So I was hoping to lose a little weight and get more toned but due to my wedding getting postponed twice, covid and working from home I’ve seen a little progress but just feeling down on myself for not making as much progress or being as consistent as I could have been up to this point. I bought my dress almost 2 years ago at this point and have my first fitting today. It’s still a bit tight and not even sure it will zip all the way up. Definitely feeling down and self conscious. Just seeing if anyone on here can relate or has any words of wisdom.
I will keep working at it as I know I still have a little time but just hope it all works out or the alterations person can work some magic. 😔

When I got my dress I was at my best fitness level. I felt amazing and with covid, moving, family illnesses, etc I fell off track. I put on weight and such but I remind myself that I can make those changes when I want. I went to my fitting and the dress was a tad snug. I surprisingly wasn’t upset because I reminded myself of all the obstacles faced over the past year. My fiancé loves me and he’ll still think I’ll look beautiful while I’m being my own worst critic. I know your fiancé will do the same. Remind yourself of how much you’ve overcome these past two years and think about how happy and overjoyed your fiancé will be seeing you for the first time. You’re going to look stunning. If the dress doesn’t fit well, your tailor will work their magic! They’re seriously AMAZING! Let us know how the appointment went. ❤️

My first fitting is in October and I'm not where I want to be. I've lost 23 pounds but have hit a wall. I've been doing the 16:8 intermittent fasting for 8 days and have lost 2 pounds already! Something to consider to help drop some weight. Smiley smile

Wedding date twins!! I bought my dress in November 2019 for our October 2020 wedding which turned into October 2021. My goal was to lose about 30-40 pounds by the wedding. That didn’t happen. I’m not going to stress about my weight and have come to the realization it’s not about the number on the scale or what size dress I’m wearing. I’m trying to learn to be more confident in my body rather than constantly shaming myself. Your alternations person should be able to make it fit perfectly. Sometimes stress is a big factor to weight loss so try not to worry about it. If you want, get outside an move a little more liking adding a walk to your nightly routine or do high knees during commercial breaks during your tv time. It’ll all work out! Good luck!
