54 days to go, and I feel like I'm forgetting stuff! SEPTEMBER BRIDE CHECK-IN!!

Jennifer S., on July 30, 2013 at 1:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 35

I've got 54 days until my wedding day and I am freaking out feeling like I'm forgetting something really important. All we have left to do is pay the florist, the rest of the guys' attire, purchase the guest book, pay the second half of the venue, pick out flower girl/JBM dresses (they are going to be matching and the flower girl is growing like crazy so we are waiting til the last possible minute! haha), finalize music and make sure my MOH gets shoes. Is there anything I'm forgetting?

September Brides: What all do you have left to do?

32 days to go and I feel the same way! I can;t believe how quickly the day is approaching.

    This what I'm working on:

Picking up dress on Friday and hoping the corset I ordered is ready or I may be in trouble.

    Paying Florist on Sunday

Paying Venue bill on the 13th

Ceremony playlist has to be created.

I still need to get the seating chart printed and framed

Still need to book the rehearsal

get stuff ready for honeymoon (change money, buy some clothes, pack)

I'm going to stop because just thinking about this is stressing me out!

I just finished a lot of the little details for the wedding this last weekend, so now we have to:

    Pick up the marriage license

    Figure out rehearsal details

    Ceremony playlist

Pick up my dress from final alterations on Saturday!!!!

My FH is moving into my house within the next two weeks, so that's a bit of a hassle, but he is picking up the mens attire today!

Jennifer, what do you still need to figure out music wise? That was my favorite part to plan!

I keep trying to remind myself I have the license, rings and an officient. I don't technically need anything else.

All of it! It's just kinda hard to pick stuff because I have to censor it for FH's family. I can't really play the music I listen to because they are so protective of their kids. Any mention of sex, or drugs, or anything like that. They will flip. So I'm having to go through and listen to the words of every song and even if its not something that would be totally obvious to the kids, it is to the parents and FH will never hear the end of it.

Ugh. That's frustrating and super time consuming. Do you have a dj or are you doing an ipod playlist? Would radio versions even help? They would have cursing cut out but that's about it.

@clare I tried that.. there is still little things. Even if they aren't obvious. I have FH listen to it and he goes "oh no that totally means sex" or "oh theres a drug reference" like really? I can't even play like New Kids on The Block because the song I want to play has 1 STUPID LINE that says something about love the way you turn me on. I can't play Michael Jackson because his family believes he is a bad person and I wanted our first dance to be to one of his songs.

All of his cousins that are attending are 15+ but they are all home schooled and very sheltered. Kinda like he was when I met him. He is the total opposite of what they are but I can guarantee they all secretley listen to this music and would know every word, their parents just don't know it.

HAHA it sounds like you have corrupted him!

For dinner I would just find some nice classical or instrumental stuff that has NO lyrics. The dancing part of the evening is going to be the hard part. Your choices of songs from the last 20 years will be limited.

For DIY stuff I literally just got finished with writing out all the place cards envelopes and stuffing them. I still have to make cake topper and table numbers. I need to refurbish my toasting flutes and cake knife set from our first wedding.

Everything else that needs to be finished:

    -Pay off hubby tux

    -pay off Photographer

    -pay balance on DJ
