60 day panic, anyone??

StephSparkles, on August 4, 2022 at 1:23 PM Posted in Planning 2 10

Anyone else in their last 60 days of wedding planning and kind of totally freaking out??

(day 51 for us, at time of writing)

I feel like everything is just falling onto me, as well as dealing with a father who is re-learning that he's not walking me (long story, trust me - my mom deserves it more). So I just feel.... HEIGHTENED at all times. And al though we are making most of our florals and décor, I just hope everyone thinks it's... enough.

I have been very much, "This is our day!", from the start. But these last 2 months are shaking me a bit.

Help? Advice? Support stories? Need to vent yourself?

All is welcome!

50 days for me! It's so weird because looking at the countdown in days I was like "oh 50 days is still quite a while" but then I counted it today in weeks and I am like "OH MY GOSH!" But I have kind of just gone into the countdown with the mindset of whatever happens happens. I'm organizing everything I can, but I am not going to spend more time or money on random things I don't care much about. For instance, my mom really wants us to do a greenery backdrop for our neon sign. I don't care one way or the other for one, so if she wants to take care of that then by all means, but I am not going to spend time researching where to find one. All of our vendors have been so helpful so for me, as long as we have our photographers, good food, and a good DJ, I'll be happy.

Good luck to you and your planning! Congratulations on the final stretch!

I feel you! We have 65 days! I was super panicked but it was mostly because we were going to be moving into an RV right before our wedding but we’ve decided to push it off and instead do it next spring. Knowing we’re resigning our lease again and we’ll have a home to come back to after the wedding takes a lot of stress off lmao. Now it’s just down to making payments and ordering last minute stuffSmiley smile I feel fairly on top of it so while I am stressed I’m doing alright

I’m 21 days out and panicking a bit, mainly just about Covid. I think staying home as much as possible for the next 21 days will help my anxiety! Haven’t yet told my parents who will be walking me (also mom and not dad)…. I’m trying to prioritize exercise, eating well and sleep since those are the things that keep anxiety low. Oh, and to-do lists!

Why is it when you NEED sleep, it is NOT what happens? 😅

I have been trying to prioritize, but life in general is in mass chaos with my fiancé's work schedule. But if anything that's the one good thing about the countdown is time with him finally!

Good luck with the parent talk! Sending all the good karma your way.

Todo lists are the best and I really need to lean into exercising, purely for energy transmission lol.

We have the venue and her dress is all set, she's picked her MUA.. so I've been trying to calm myself down knowing that at least she'll look beautiful.

Hector, are you buying or renting? If you purchase from a department store, their in-house tailoring should be included or inexpensive and have that out to you in a few days. I one-stopped shopped with my husband who wanted something new from tie to shoes. There were many! desperate grooms who waited a bit late. Some tux purveyors, not sure what's local: Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, all their outlets (e.g. Nordstrom Rack), Brooks Brothers, Lord & Taylor, Indochino, Suit Supply, Jos A Bank, Men's Warehouse, Blk tux, local shops.

    Good luck.

Thanks, I've stopped by quite a few shops already. I've narrowed i down to Enzo custom or MySuit which supposedly has a two week turnaround. I have an appt with Enzo this afternoon so depending on how long it takes for them to complete the tux, will decide who I will go with. Thanks for all the suggestions!
