600 Guest Wedding to decorate

I am having a hard time figuring out centerpieces for my wedding. I have to come up with something to decorate around 75 tables. My family and soon to be family has been amazing with helping pay for everything but I don't want to spend that much on centerpieces because it is not that important to me...

Any suggestions or ideas?

@MrsWrs, @Panda, and @O&S #D&B, thank you for saying what I really wanted to say and to whom I really wanted to say it. I didnt know how to do it without getting banned again. Sometimes, it feels like either Chicken Little is writing with her "the Sky is falling" crap, or Eeyore has dropped in for the day to let everyone know that everything we are doing is SOOOO incorrect. How can someone be that unhappy all the time?

    Just a vent!!

I know I said I didn't want to spend much money but for everyone saying I'm crazy if I don't think I'm going to spend money on a wedding that big I just want you to know we are more than willing to spend the money... I really don't have a budget. What I was getting at, and maybe I should have worded it wrong, is that centerpieces are something I think are a waste. I will spend the money on them but I think it's kinda pointless to buy floral centerpieces because what are we going to do with them after. I have a friend who spent $30,000 on flowers for her wedding and they did donate the flowers after but to me that's a waste of money. I want something simple and don't want to spend that much on centerpieces because I could care a less and I don't think any of my guests will either. What I do care about is that they look classy and clean but I'm definitely not against the vases and candles! The lady who is dealing the venue and setting up chair covers and table cloths will set up any centerpieces I have to she is just limited to what she has for rent.

Or three of these with a simple flower or a few flowers and greenery

Honestly all I had was a simple low ball glass (Crown Royal had a promotion, two free with a bottle) and filled it with ice blue glass beads, water and a floating candle. Some people took them home Smiley smile

Not sure of your aesthetics, but my DIY succulent terrariums were very cost-friendly. I'm more of a fan of greenery than I am of florals anyways, so it worked for me. FIL has a green thumb and offered to let me use succulents that he started growing a year before the wedding. We ended up using maybe half of what he had grown and then buying $20 worth of extra succulents at our farmer's market for about a dollar each. Terrariums came out to $8 each with coupons and a great sale at Michael's. They looked great on our wooden tables, very modern and organic looking, and they can be planted weeks or months early and saved before and after the wedding as house decor. Total cost for these was less than $12 each, including soil, terrariums and succulents.

Wow- I gotta admit that 600 is a large number but come on people. Hate to break it to you but in many cultures, huge weddings are the expected norm. I'm from a large immigrant family and no one even cares about long gaps, honey funds not being greeted, and half the other things that WW flips out about. BUT if I dare not invite every aunt and Uncle (plus some) I'd be ex-communicated. Big cultural faux pas. OP please hire someone- at least a professional to coordinate and manage your volunteers. This is too big of a task to leave to chance.

Check out lilyofangeles (she has an etsy store, but go directly to her website, it's slightly cheaper and currently 20% off until end of October). She has 6ft table garlands for $19 each as well as a ton of other different style centre pieces that are really affordable. I've just ordered my wedding bouquets, bouttonieres, corsages from there and paid a total of $324

I had 19 centerpieces for a 150 person wedding and it was overwhelming even with 9 helpers over 2 days 4hr shifts...

Let me tell you, I saved a ton and the centerpieces were Pinterest worthy but the time and extra stress it caused makes me say not to do that to yourself. You want to enjoy the days before your wedding not be stressed about centerpieces or burdening your wonderful family and friends with it trust me. No one complained but I knew it was a hassle for them as much as it was for me. Just my advice...for a wedding that size...Pay a event planner or rental company

@Nonna do you have room in the car for one more? We can all get pumped together on the way there.

I'm inviting 350 and I had to hire professionals. I picked out the linens and chargers but I am letting the florist do the rest!
