So, I think I am kind of at a pausing point. Most of what is left are paying final payments. I had my hair trial last Thursday and it went really well. So, I think I am kind of at a pausing point. Most of what is left are paying final payments. I had my hair trial last Thursday and it went really well. It took I think about an hour before I finally said okay this look is IT. My stylist was a champ the whole time. I did not mean to be difficult but there was something off and I kept having her change this and that until it was exactly how I wanted it. That is so out of character for me. I am usually the type that says ok it's fine even when it is not. haha! My makeup trial was scheduled for the same day but mua child was sick and she asked if we could reschedule in a couple of weeks. Next month the guys go to purchase their clothes and I am buying my husband's ring. I am just SO READY for the day to get here. I can not wait to be married. I have started making spreadsheets for everything, lol. I made one for the photographer, director/DOC, planner, myself! I feel so organized. Who knew I could be this organized??

    10/7 here.

I recently had some drama related to my shower and BP that I got pulled into (and shouldn't have, but hey it's over now). It had me pretty bummed, stressed and feeling like overall maybe the closer the wedding and pre-wedding events get, the more drama that'd emerge. Not a good feeling for someone like me who gets anxious about these things.

Then, while camping this weekend I looked over at FH and remembered what the point of all of this is. He was all smiley, telling me how beautiful I looked without makeup, and saying he couldn't wait to be married.

How awesome is that? It made all the stress disappear.

OOHHH!! @Nas, FH and I just came back from Lake Tahoe. It was so much fun! Where are you staying while you're there?!

ETA: @Megan, I can't even read my own handwriting so I'm being lazy and doing clear Avery labels. I can't write very pretty and didn't want to have to find someone to pay to write nicely.

I am so busy right now with all of the little details - I have yet to find a MUA. My dress arrived this weekend and I am super excited!!!

@Nas, I'm not familiar with where that is. We stayed at Sorenson's, about 20 minutes from South Lake Tahoe city, 30 minutes from Emerald Bay. We went swimming for a little bit and I was still physically cold to the touch an hour after we were done swimming because it was so cold. But it was really fun. I hope you have fun, too!

@Kate, I've been watching Ebay for a decent priced, slightly used Cricut. Do you love yours? I would like to have one so I can make our wedding signs with vinyl lettering instead of buying signs.

@Megan, Minted! I bought the envelopes and they printed the addresses for free!

@Kate, I just got my first gift too. A new toaster oven! I love it. I am waiting for my custom thank you cards to come in and I will send that out pronto.

@Nas, I would totally suggest Brother's Bar and Grill in S. Lake Tahoe if you're near it. We had dinner there our first night. FH really liked his burger, my patty melt was okay (kinda bland) but the fries were the best ever. We also had breakfast there since we were driving through for activities both days. I had the Eggs Benedict with fresh crab and fresh avocado and I'm pretty certain it was my favorite dish, EVER. Just be prepared, restaurants there are stupid expensive because it's so "touristey". We went to the local supermarket since our cabin had a kitchenette and cooked for two nights. Their meat deli had really fresh crab, salmon, and steaks. I think it was called Raleys?

Oh, man! I need a Cricut! That would be so much better than address labels! HMMM... Back to Ebay I go! I really just don't want to pay the brand new price for one. I just can't seem to justify it to myself. I don't know how much I'll use it after the wedding. I would like to think that I would use it a lot since all of FH's cousins are married and are now starting to have babies (Baby shower No. 1 this weekend, and I'm hosting!! So excited!!). I think I would use it for decorating for those types of things. But I imagine it would collect dust in between events.

ETA: I know this is super off topic, and everyone can ignore me, but I was MIA from WW most of the weekend and now I'm curious. Why was Kenny's post flagged? I really wanted to see if he ever came back. Did it just get out of hand and gross?

@Nas, if yall are looking for a fun day trip, we drove to the Donner museum and then into Downtown Truckee. Truckee had a lot of fun little shops to go into. Before we left, we ate at a BBQ joint that was pretty great. I don't normally enjoy sweet potato fries, but they had some pretty amazing ones. I think it was called Smokeys.

@Kate, my mom wanted to do chocolates in the welcome baskets and scattered on tables. There's a place here in Oklahoma that makes really good chocolates. Milk/dark with raspberry, strawberry, fudge, caramel, and peanut butter centers. I believe it's called Bedre. I'll see if I can find a website for you. For wedding favors, I'm caving and doing a s'mores bar like all the other cousins have done. We'll have little boxes for people to make and take, or cellophane bags to just put the fixings in and make later

ETA: Here's that website @Kate. Even if you aren't in Oklahoma, I still think they're more "upscale" than Hershey's kisses. Have you thought about Lindor (sp?)? I don't know if it's reasonably priced though

Hello! My favors are being delivered tomorrow! Invitations went out last week and I'm already getting rsvps back! I order my escort cards to write everyone's name on and the rest is just making lots of payments! I can't believe how close we are and I'm so ready for it to be here! First fitting is August 12th and I'm so excited!

I'm also at a pausing point. Just saving as much as possible to pay off balances. Invitations stuffed, just need sealed, and then in the mail on the first! First fitting for me and alterations for my jr bridesmaid in August. And then September will be crazy with final vendor meetings and little details. So ready!!

Minted actually printed addresses on my envelopes for free, it definitely helped (except the instance when a couple broke up, but they did provide another envelope)

I'm trying to pin point some décor stuff, no one has responded to my other post LOL - is there anything small that you can think of that you were like "shit I forgot about that"?
