9 days left

Danih, on October 13, 2011 at 2:58 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

We have 9 days until the big day! I am so worried that I am going to forget some vital detail! Venue, food, bride and groom clothes, hair and makeup, music, attendants, cake, photographer, officiate, wedding license...all check! Help...anything I have missed? Sorry, nerves are getting the best of me...UGH!

It is very stresful when it comes down to the wire! Congrats, and it will come by so fast and your wedding will be awesome. Smiley smile

I started making a list about 2 weeks before the BIG day. I kept it on my phone and every day something would pop in my head and I would make note. It helped. Little things etc.

As for the IMPORTANT STUFF....Don't forget jewlery/shoes!!

Make lists according to days. Make piles of stuff with signs

Wed: Pick up tuxes, Pack bag now for Sat night. (You'll thank me) Thurs: Drop off at hall - centerpieces, cake topper, flutes, cake knifes, seating chart/cards, etc. Fri: Mani/Pedi with girls, massage for the bride. Bring ribbon bouquet made from bridal shower gifts, music selection (ipod) marriage license to rehearsal (give to officiant). Bring Wedding party/parent gifts to rehearsal dinner. Sat: button down shirt, veil or hair pins/combs. Programs, guest book, bubbles, flower girl basket, RB pillow, etc. bridal emergency kit. Tips or last payments.

You also want to think of how you will get a car to the hotel if you are taking a limo from your home to the wedding. The men may need to play musical cars while you are getting your hair done. Also, designate who will need to bring the items to the church or hall if you will be in a limo.

Have someone in charge of collecting the tuxes that night/next morning.

Don't forget to pack A bag to put your dress in the next day when you at at the hotel.... unless you think you will remember to grab the one your dress is in now (But you probably will forget the nice one in the room you are getting ready in)

a crochet hook if you have buttons

An Idea if you have time ~ romance basket ~ dollar store toasting flutes, bottle of champagne, bottle opener, petals, lighter, candles, oils - lotions ~ for the hotel room

If you don't have them already, get some oil absorbing blotting sheets from the make-up aisle. They take the shine off but don't remove you make-up.

Have those, mascara, lip gloss, mirror, wisps, tampon, and Your own personal camera in a little purse. Have it with you always (off to the side) for touch ups, and have your MOH take the camera out when you are cutting cake/first dances so you have something to look at the next day.

    ~ good luck ~ congrats

There were little things that we forgot to do before the wedding, like figure out a script for our MC as we walked into the reception and where we would all stand once we got there.

The main thing is to not freak out if you forget something. If it's something major, have someone go back and pick it up. If it's not major, odds are you can live with out it.

Lists keep me sane. Smiley winking Looks like you've got the big stuff covered, and try not to sweat the small stuff!

Oh - one thing my venue's owner suggested that I would have never thought of otherwise - have your parents bring foil and Ziploc baggies for leftover cake, food, etc. that you may want to take home.

Good luck to you and your FH!

Also don't forget the garters! If you are doing that at your reception. I have listed the other items in the post below. For some goofy reason, it won't let me post all together.

The mini bag list. Very glad I had one. Have it ready the night before and your MOH/BM take it to the church and then slip it under your table at the reception. Well worth it.

    slip on socks

    bandaid/ 1 or 2

    Antacid

    Advil/Tyelenol etc

    Bobby pins

    safey pins

mini sewing kit (dollar store has cute tiny ones!)

    makeup

blotting paper (the one thing I did forget. Smiley atonished )

    deorderant (absolutely! dancn/sweatn,def used!) lol

    hairspray

eye drops (if you are a contact wearer like myself.)

MINTS!! (your guests will thank you. Smiley smile)

    Bleach pen

    clear nailpolish

I think that is it. As I didn't use all, it was nice to know it was readily available. :-D

Don't forget the rings too. Smiley smile I used this bag for all the mini stuff.. you might want to add kleenex too for those sappy speeches during dinner. That got me. Smiley smile

Not sure if you would have enough time to order but maybe something similiar? I would give you mine but I live in IL.
