9 more days!!! Packing for wedding and honeymoon cruise?

Brianna N, on October 3, 2019 at 11:14 AM Posted in Planning 0 13

We are 9 days away, I can't believe it! Single digits! We are getting married 3 hours from where we live and are heading straight to our honeymoon cruise from there, so we have to pack for both the wedding and the honeymoon. I am trying to put together a list to make sure we have everything we need! Obviously the normal stuff, toiletries, clothes, wedding decor, wedding dress, shoes and accessories, etc... But I was hoping some of you guys might have lists you could share or maybe things you wish you had brought to the wedding that you didn't?

Also, our honeymoon is a 5 day 4 night cruise to the Bahamas, neither of us has been on a cruise. How much should we pack? Will we need fancy clothes or mostly just shorts/tank tops and bathing suits?

Any advice would be awesome! Thank you guys! Can't wait to post my BAM Smiley smile

I’m not going on a cruise but I am planning mostly swimsuits, coverups and light summer dresses for our resort honeymoon. Most people say you pretty much live in your swimsuit and cover up the entire time! I am also bringing a lot of over-the-counter medications for stomach upset, heartburn, colds things like that since I know they are so expensive on trips. Extra sunscreen! Look on Pinterest for honeymoon packing lists, they have a ton of great things on there.

We’re doing that too, except we’re going on Fh’s boat for a week. I figure I need swimsuits and maybe 1 or 2 nice dresses for dinner out/on shore.
i have the additional issue of also needing to pack food for the week!

There is a Captains dinner on the cruises that I've been to and that's typically the only time we dress up on a cruise.

Yeah usually there is one “formal night” on a cruise, but just wearing a dress of any kind is really fancy enough! Everyone interprets “formal” differently, you’ll see a huge range. Other than that night, bring mostly bathing suits and shorts and t-shirts, plus an extra set of clothes for dinner each night to change into!

So we are doing a DW, going up 4 days before and staying 3 days after then heading to a 4 day honeymoon in a beach bungalow. I went on a cruise in 2017 and it was 7 days and we had 2 formal dinners so I packed nice dresses for that. I also packed clothes for the islands wes topped at (shorts and tanks) I actually packed a number of dresses just to have them some nicer some sun dresses.

I bought a mini portable tripod for our honeymoon, and I loved it. It was SUPER easy to pack & take anywhere, so we got more pictures that way and didn't have to ask people to take them of us. We went to Hawaii so we did a lot of beach/day trips, and packing a small drawstring backpack was great so I didn't have to lug around my big backpack the whole time. We brought our tablet for the flights (8 hours of flying each way) and downloaded movies in advance, then brought headphones & a headphone splitter. I was also happy we brought a waterproof digital camera!

Mostly swim suits, comfy clothes, bring at least one nice outfit because most cruises have one fancy dinner night!
