A drink before the ceremony?

I had iced coffee and lots of water. Then a breath mint right before the ceremony!

I plan to have one drink. And only one. I'm a total lightweight so any more than that is just a recipe for disaster but one is just enough to help calm the nerves lol I did the same thing before I bought my wedding dress- one drink to calm the jitters then I made my MOH stop me from having another (even though the peach margaritas at the restaurant we went to were amazing)

Definantly thinking I will need something to calm my nerves. I dont want to be hammered for the ceremony but maybe just a few to loosen up !

I will probably have some wine before while getting ready in the suite!

I had an anxiety attack during the getting ready process so I took a Xanax. My anxiety wasn't about getting married, it was just crazy in the suite where we were getting ready and I just couldn't deal (literally there was 15 people in there and with so much going on I was on edge). It was about 3 hours before the ceremony so I knew it would wear off before I wanted to drink any alcohol.

My church had a policy where they wouldn't perform the ceremony if either of us was discovered to have had any alcohol before hand. We played it safe and didn't have anything until after the ceremony.

The idea is good in theory to calm your nerves, if you don't have anxiety medication that works. I would be very hesitant to actually do it though because you are participating in a legal ceremony and the officiant can decide to back out if you are not sober. We're going to wait for the reception to drink.

More than likely I'll have mimosas. I'm including a flask in my bridesmaid's boxes so we'll all have one and I'll probably put Patron in it and take a weak nip before I walk down the aisle lol
