a large amount of people cancelling because of covid

Okay not that large. About 6 people have already said they aren't coming. Unfortunately, four of them are important to us and we hoped they'd be there. They are citing covid as the reason. Are you getting married soon and if yes are you seeing this and how are you handling it?

When we got married back in May we were allowed 10 people. And my hubby's parents and cousin K didnt come. It hurt, but we still got married anyway. We were upset at first because cousin K was having COVID PARTIES with like 10 people over getting drunk. But couldn't come to our wedding due to his dad having heart surgery so we understood that. His parents moved from NJ to PA, and didnt wanna come due to covid even though they could move..so unfortunately people cancel but still make the best of your day!

I know what you mean when observing other people's actions and ending up wondering why. One of the people has attended two weddings this fall. But I don't question anyone, wesding party or no, if they say no then it's a no. I keep thinking of it and I'm excited to experience it even under the circumstances

Exactly actions speak louder than words. So idk why people do what they do. And best of luck !

Yeah, even though I haven't sent out invitations yet for my Feb. 2021 wedding, I've had a few friends decline coming to the wedding when I asked for their address. Sucks, but no helping it. On the bright side, I did have several friends RSVP "Yes" to the wedding so I'm happy about that.

We just got married two weeks ago and people were cancelling on us the day before, day of and some just straight up no showed. We did miss them but honestly, we were so happy to be with each other that day and we each had one parent there it was still incredible. We offered a livestream for our friends and family who either didn’t feel safe coming in person or if we had to uninvite them due to limiting our guest count. Good luck! You’re almost there!

We are getting married in 2 weeks and have lost 6 guests in the last 2 days including a groomsman. I'll let you know how ours goes!

Hi Amanda, I'm wishing you focus so that nothing gets in the way of a memorable day! We have too much to celebrate to allow it to be overshadowed(great a giving advise, maybe I'll learn to take it too? 😄)...let me know how it goes!

My wedding is in Feb. 2021 and I just sent out our invitations, so far, not many people have openly declined their invitation. Many of them, in fact, are on the fence. So far we've had three people openly say they weren't going, but we decided not to make a big deal out of it, and just wait patiently for more RSVPs to come.

I think that's a sign of people wanting to go so they are waiting to see if things improve. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
