I got married 7/31/21. Would it be ok to use one of our wedding photos for our Christmas cards?

I want to get my husbands mom and 2 grandmothers a unique gift using the pictures of the with him and us at our wedding. Any suggestions?

As an insert or the cover of the card? You can do either.

Browse Etsy for ideas as many items can be personalized with photos of your choice.

Absolutely! It’s the only year you can.
We got married in January and used a wedding picture for our cards, almost a year later.

You should definitely use a wedding photo for your Christmas cards!! Smiley ring

For your photo gifts you could gift them each a photo in a really nice frame, or get something fun printed with a wedding picture like a snowglobe, ornament, or paperweight!

Some of my favorite Christmas cards are the ones that say things like "Married Christmas" or "Merry and Married" with some wedding photos on them! I love this idea and 100% vote you do it

You can absolutely use your wedding photos on your Christmas/Holiday card if you got married within the past year.

For our legal marriage (had to do the whole Covid elopement followed by an actual celebration thing) I got our parents mini albums (8x8 inches) of our event, which they really appreciated. For our wedding celebration, I gave my MIL framed 5x7 photos of the whole family on my husband's side (so me, hubby, his parents, sister, and aunts) and my hubby's nuclear family (him, his parents, and his sister). She loved them!

I do think that a nicely framed photo makes a great gift. If you want to do anything else with the photos, I think it's important to keep in mind that actual gift items made incorporating wedding photos likely don't mean as much and seem awkwardly out of place to anyone but the couple themselves. For example, I have given our friend's Christmas ornaments of significant events in their lives (1st married Christmas, year engaged, etc) but if our kid gave me an ornament featuring a photo of them and their spouse to acknowledge their wedding, I think it would be really weird. As long as any other gift items focus on photos that highlight your relationship with the giftee, though, I think it's fine. So a Christmas ornament of a photo you in your wedding dress posing with your grandparents could be a fun gift for them, but not an ornament of photo of just you and your spouse, if that makes sense! If you want to gift photos of just you and your spouse, I think a Holiday card or small framed photo is best.
