Dawn
Dedicated May 2021

a special momento

One of my closest friends has been married over 30 years. Her husband did 20 years in the Navy, they moved many times, endured miscarriages, the death of a child, raising 2 kids, and still are very much in love.

My sister's husband died 3 weeks ago. Yesterday would have been their 45th anniversary. They were so in love, even more than the day they married. They truly were best friends with one of the strongest marriages around.
With that being said, I'd like something from both of them, to carry down the aisle, in hopes of my marriage will be as strong as theirs. What suggestions do you have they could let me carry?Thank you for your help.

I would ask them. I told my grandma that her marriage was one that I looked up to and I’d love to “borrow” some of her good luck for my own wedding/marriage. She has a past, present, future ring that my grandfather gifted to her and it holds a lot of meaning for her, so I wore it for my own wedding!

I agree with Minimalist Bride. If not, check out Etsy- they have charms you can attach to your bouquet.

I love the bouquet charms idea! 💐 The charm could have their wedding dates, a picture, a gemstone signifying their anniversary, a favorite quote about love - whatever is special to them!

You can also ask them and see what they have saved! Maybe they each have a piece or ribbon from their bouquets, a piece of jewelry you can borrow, or another memento.
