So, long story short... our original baker refused to move the deposit of our wedding cake to our new date once Covid hit. Rather than pay her another $500, we decided to take $500 we had already paid her as a loss, and go with a different bakery who would allow us to move our date if the pandemic was still an issue on our new date. Fast forward to today, and suddenly the original baker is emailing me telling me she is now willing to transfer our deposit to our new date. so, it looks like we will now be having 2 wedding cakes! 🤦🏼♀️😂🤷🏼♀️
Our first wedding cake will be heavy, rich & chocolate based. So we thought for the second cake we would like something light. Maybe something fruity? I have also heard of champagne wedding cakes, but have never actually tried one. Has anyone tasted a champagne cake before? Does it actually taste like champagne?? Any suggestions for light flavored or fruity cakes are greatly appreciated!
