I agree with you. Seems like us acne prone people can’t get away with what other would do without getting the outbreaks. Good luck to you! 🙂

Where did you get the device and how much did you pay? Under my eyes and chin is where I have the biggest pores. 😒 I really need to get a routine and make it a habit. I tend to do it for a few days and then stop. 😕

That’s definitely a big thing - taking make up off st night. I usually do it early, after dinner or so, so I don’t get too tired to do it. The CC cream is super easy to apply. A little in your hand, take a brush, put some on it, a dot on the forehead, both cheeks, and chin and blend in, add a little blush and mascara and you’re good to go. That’s exactly my make up routine! I don’t even wait for cc cream to dry cuz I don’t have that time in the am. It takes me 3 mins to put on the makeup after the moisturizing, etc. definitely add some face masks, I have a microdermabrasion kit from Mary Kay, but Renée rouleau has some great stuff. Her line really helped lighten my acne scars, etc, but once you do the research, every line really starts to carry the same product, just need to find what works for you. Vitamin c and E cream are best for reducing scars as well as building/protecting your skin.

My pimples leaves scars and hyper pigment my skin. I have been using Rhoda &Fields products and have great luck! I use the reverse lightening like in the AM and the blemish line in the PM. My skin tone is evening out and I have hardly any blemishes anymore. When I do get some they Don’t last nearly as long, don’t scar, and my skin tones is evening out.

I hope you you find something that works for you. Good luck!

I don’t actually know anything but that won’t stop me from commenting! I use this stuff Truth Serum from Ole Heinricksen that does actually make my skin look brighter and faded some dark spots. It won’t get rid of bad acne scars but might make them less noticeable. I’ve also been told by a person giving me a facial that microdermabrasion helps also.

This is a helpful post! Thanks, guys! I also have the lovely issue of being super dry after washing my face, but in a few hours it looks like I rubbed canola oil all over my forehead. Dermalogica has a primer called “clearing mattifier” that I used on my T-zone after moisturizing and it’s great for keeping my skin looking matte all day. Plus I use an oil blotting sheet when needed.
I really want to check out the BB/CC creams. Thanks for the multiple recommendations. My Ulta obsession is about to get worse lol.

Side note: aside from acne that got worse with pms, I also suffer from migraines that would occur a lot around that time. I don’t have nearly as many migraines anymore (acne breakouts still happen but I blame stress and genetics lol) bc I take my birth control continuously (skipping placebos) so I never get my period unless I decide to go 7 days without taking the active tablets. There are birth control pill brands specifically marketed as “extended cycle” like Seasonale, but any monophasic tablets do the same thing. Biphasics like Mircette and triphasics like TriNessa or Ortho-Tri-Cyclen cannot be taken that way. Studies have touted the extended cycle as safe and effective. A lot of patients ask me at work about that and I’ve done a lot of research; my gyne and his team agree with me. It’s a great option for women who are candidates for hormonal birth control. I usually get 1-2 periods per year that I schedule just to make sure I’m not pregnant lol. For those of you on oral birth control, talk to your gyne and see if it’s appropriate for you before you do it. Total life changer.

I'm the same way, SO much scarring and I have major break outs at least once a month. If you can afford to/have insurance, I'd see a dermatologist ASAP to help with scarring. I'm still over a year out from our wedding, but I plan to get monthly facials starting 6 months out. For at home, I'm using a toner morning & night, serum at night, and a good cleanser morning & night. I'm using blackhead & acne prone masks once a week, and exfoliating 1-2 times a week. Then lotion & SPF morning and just lotion at night. I'm also taking biotin supplements.

I’ve struggled with adult acne and oily skin for some time but I’m glad I started using DermalMD Acne Serum. I use the cleanser before applying the serum treatment and I haven’t had any break outs in about 3 weeks when I started using it. I saw results in about 3-4 days plus a little bit goes far so you get your money’s worth. I would definitely try these two products if you’re like me!
