Acne/skin

Stefanie, on May 20, 2022 at 6:09 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 10
Hi everyone! So I have less than 30 days until my wedding. For some reason I have been getting acne on my chin (probably from stress lol) in two spots and they are always the ones under the skin. I was wondering if anyone has any remedies to help get rid of them. I have tried tea tree oil, scrubs, foaming face wash….they go away but then always come back! Help!!! TIA

Hydrocolloid patches! Put them all over your chin the night before.

I second this! The underskirt bumps are the worst 😫 literally the only thing that works for me is leaving them tf alone, and putting those little patches on at night. Hope it'll work for you!

I'm unsure if this will work for the bumps you describe, but Peace Out acne healing dots with salicylic acid have worked for me and my husband.

My friend showed me this chart - maybe looking into these underlying issues would help.

for instance i am more prone to getting acne on my chin too and i usually only get acne when it's around my menstrual cycle so it saying hormonal imbalance seems pretty right.

Yes to the patches I love them! But for me it takes a couple days of using them to work so I would suggest starting now. I also would suggest not changing or using a ton of face washes/scrubs cause it can upset your skin & make you break out more. Acne is the worst! You could also try some gut health teas/foods. What you’re eating could be the cause of acne too.

Over the years I’ve found out that caffeine & dairy products causes me to break out. But it could be different for anybody.
But also remember there’s always makeup to cover up acne too! Best of luck ❤️

Since you're so close to your wedding - I'd consider maybe talking to your dermatologist. If they're the underskin ones that get really swollen and are impossible to hide, I believe your dermatologist can give you a cortisone shot, which will quickly reduce the swelling, redness, and pain. You'd obviously want to do this a bit before your wedding for it to take effect, but I'm pretty sure it's quick. My req - talk to your doctor. Smiley smile Best of luck! Acne is the worst.

I'd also recommend talking to a dermatologist. Some products may cause a bad reaction and end up doing more harm than good, and a dermatologist would be able to help you out with a last minute solution. I had awful acne around my chin for the longest time until I started taking birth control. I think a combo of stress and hormones were the root cause in my case. Try increasing the amount of water you drink in a day and avoid sugar, oils, fats, and animal products like dairy and meat as much as possible.

After researching, I realized that my already oily skin was a major contributing factor to my acne & my skin was overproducing. While I was surprised, after using Dermal MD anti acne serum it really helped me with the acne✅
